it's not meant to be perfect ballet. it's rhythmic gymnastics. it's similar to ballet, so it's useful to learn it, but it's not going to be perfect if they're actually gymnasts.
@polkadotpolka123 Not for ballet it's not! Holding developpe in second, en pointe, maintaining turnout on both legs, both hips pressed down as far as possible, torso erect with no 'sway back' requires great strength in the entire pelvic region & supporting leg. Gymnasts know nothing of proper ballet technique. That's why their hip goes up wth raised leg, no turnout, supporting knee twisted - it might be ok for gym but gets you NO points in ballet, nor gets you a job in ballet. Different worlds!
There very good Rhythmic gymnasts, but the placement of their hips are out. When doing Grande Battements, some tilt their hips to get their legs higher. The need to work on keeping their hips square, apart from that, the are very good :)
There's a lot of Sickeling, not turning out from the hip, and rolling in. These things need to be addressed before they get hurt. They also shouldn't do baut mas on releve until they're bodies are stron enough to have propper allignment on flat.
they are better at rithmic gymastics. They dont have the technique of ballet but they have the flexibility!

@Barbiebratzgal123 definately. the more flexible you are, the easier it is to get stronger in your legs to lift them higher! :)
