Cap and Trade is a convoluted (intentionally) shell game designed to steal our money. It will do NOTHING to reduce pollution, as it will send our industries to someone else's shores where they will continue to pollute. So America will lose jobs AND tax revenues and get not one bit more of clean air in the process. How can I use less electricity? I walk around in a dark house at night and used my air conditioning 5 times all this summer AND last. If this passes we are SUNK!

emschaub, your money HAS been going to the feds, since 1913. Look into tax law and learn where your federal taxes go to, where they don't. The Feds are not part of the government, they are not federal, and they are not a bank. And, do more research about global warming. Hint: Solar flares, and propaganda are key words to start with.

I disagree with Rogers. The COST of energy does not reflect the current PRICE of energy (meaning that there are delayed charges). Cap and trade motivates all of the people and companies that think that energy should be free into conserving it! What's not said is that though the price of energy will go up, the money will go to the fed and counter expenses that will in the end save on taxes. Most of all the cost of global warming will trump all.
