  • This is why En Vogue stood out from all the other Girl Groups, These girls specialized in true Harmony and none of their vocals overshadowed the other, unlike destinys children where you could hear beYAWNcy yelling over the other girls, her voice is so annoying.

  • Simply awesome!!

  • In-Cre-Di-Ble!!!!

  • Firstly,... ATL-Fulton County Stadium? Boy that brings back memories. I can't remember when this was but clearly it was before 1996, when they tore it down. Secondly, THIS is how a girl group should sound. They should be unified. En Vogue were pros at harmonies. They could sing a cappella all day and I'd never get tired of it.

  • some hollered..."let's get it on..." LOL

  • yes yes!!!!

  • Derek Jeter said "oh shit."

  • So effortless

  • @lovejoypain I know, right! These days, duets start stumbling and looking stupid.

  • I loved them as a group! I dislike there version "dead" at the Destinys Child comparison.

  • Stunning vocals!

  • DAMN

  • ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THESE ARE SUM BAD SANGERS! THE BEST!

  • What year was this?

  • crowd was totally NOT EXPECTING this, and anyone that knows ANYTHING about SINGING can appreciate this performance. recall the day of the teen sensations in the 50s and 60s with the sweaters and khaki's and loafers, that's what they were trying to accomplish here. anyone that knows the vocal ability of TERRY ELLIS on the far left, and DAWN ROBINSON, second from the left, know that each could have belted it as a solo. had they been wearing little sailor outfits, the audience would have caught on

  • THE MOST ORIGINAL VERSION of the star-bangled banner to date!! very 1950's SHO-DO-WOP! and ANY PERSON that is an AMERICAN citizen born on the dirt of USA is ENTITLED to sing the anthem! FACT!

  • I read somewhere earlier that Destiny's Child was the best harmonized female group. Puh'leeeeeze. Hands down! En Vogue shut it down here!!!! All 4 of them were competition to each other and it's rare that you find a group anywhere that can harmonize on cue.

  • WOW.......need i say more

  • Hey atleast they are wearing clothes, unlike today's singers

  • Usually anyone who sings this anthem just builds it towards the end and then belts the last few lines out, I like how they sang this. They can all sing better than any other female group there has ever been.

  • Oh, how these girls can sing! Brings tears to my eyes.

  • they could have done a lot better with those voices.

  • that free was brilliant

  • lawd have mercy! these women brought tears 2 my eyes 4 real! where r all of the real singers these days, gracious!

  • I love En Vogue!

  • search for RichGirl - Over The Rainbow! They're the next En Vogue!!!

  • I say this on everyone of their post cuz I cant help but notice the similarities but Destinys child to me copied their style. they had they own style in some since. but for the most part beyonce woulda fit right in with these ladies.

  • @juytrew

yeah excluding the fact she can't sing.

  • @1972barnone LOL!!

  • one word AMAZING!!!

  • That harmony and arrangement is out of this world! I love En Vogue sooooooo much. Even Derek was like "Damn...these girls doin this!"

    Thanks so much for posting!

  • Yess girls betta SAAAANG!

  • I wish this group wouldn't have never broken up.

  • Dawn's part always gives me chills...Terry too...

  • take 6 version is the best

  • @princeashtonsdad we do not give a shit about take 6 version, this is en vogue's version

  • @EnVogueStan fuck dat take 6 is killin them this version here is gurrrrrrrrrbaaaaaaaaaaaaggggeee bro

  • @princeashtonsdad Damn u and whoever the hell Take 6 is. That was brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @princeashtonsdad Take 6 is a male group. En Vogue is a female group. How can one compare? You can't really make the blasted "Star-Spangled Banner" a hot song! If anyone knows the story behind the song and movement, then no one of color should be singing it in the first place!

  • @etanielyehuda I thought the star spangled banner was just a detailed description of the war between the British and Baltimore in 1812(ish)....Why wouldn't ppl of color sing to that?

  • JUST SPEECHLESS after watchin this . i mean the harmony is so good and i can feel that the crowd was like this sounds different but it sounds great. i can't see anybody as a group male or female who can touch this performance. it almost drove me to tears at how great this performance was.

  • what year is this?, a Kiwi commenting to you american's

  • this is where destiny child got it from hey!!!!

  • Best One. Did you hear that? Amazingly beautiful.

  • @tuckerbandfan NEWSFLASH-No one cares what you think. FYI-Jeter is an En Vogue fan.

  • @tuckerbandfan u must have been around when the song was invented lmao!!! so lame! they fukn roked it using only one instrument... THEIR VOICES!!!

  • I don't care what anybody says. Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium was an awesome ballpark!

  • destiny child could't pull this off in their lifetime to me these are legend never can be copied ever ever ever ever until eternity

  • They weren't ready! The audience was blown away.

  • Keter looks like a kid and is like WTF?! 1:05

  • Love how they switched it up from the boring version every other past artist has sung. This was a little more jazzier, but still classy and tatseful! Loved it!

  • That was great and I love En Vogue too!

  • aaaa-fuckng-mazng! the best the EVER did it!

  • Jimmy Carter liked it. Derek Jeter was confused as hell. But was it the most interesting version of The National Anthem ever sung? Oh yes. Oh God yes! XD

  • chills :)

  • Dam Maxine look so beautiful...All of them are some elegant, classy, mature ladies who don't have to take much off to be a step above the rest. I LOVE ME SOME ENVOGUE!

  • best female vocals ever on earth!

  • @mockmywords Where??? are you talking about Destiny's Child??? ohh yeah Destiny´s Child the best female group of the all times!!!

  • @mockmywords Destiny's Child is not the biggest selling female group...Check the RIAA and Wikipedia in the US its TLC worldwide its The Spice Girls

  • @ArThUr911102 bitch shut the fuck up;this video is not about destiny's kids now go away.

  • @EnVogueStan Yeah, this video is about an untalented group!!! DESTINY'S CHILD 4 EVER!!

  • @ArThUr911102

GODVogue>your poor life and beyorka's kids;bew bitch EN VOGUE SHITTING ON YOUR BROKE ASS LIFE 4 EVER!!

  • @ArThUr911102 untalented? seriously, you're calling out one of the greatest vocal groups ever who set the bar and the standard for today's female groups and destiny's child themselves? wow.. do your HW and watch their live performances.. nothing but CLASSY/SOPHISTICATED women and RAW/PURE vocals and talent.. unlike a group who lips to the "Say My Name" chorus with the original members still on track who were FORCED out.

  • i love the lil different octave thing they do!!

  • What do you mean by "En Vogue sings - - FINAL - - National Anthem....."?

  • they better saaang lol

  • great

  • that soprano is so sweet!

  • @LEVEL242, WHY DO YOU CARE? LOL.....

  • THEIR HARMONIES CANNOT BE DUPLICATED! I CAN'T BELIEVE SOME OF THE PEOPLE IN THE AUDIENCE WERE BOOING, OMG, PEOPLE DON'T VALUE TRUE TALENT ANYMORE. I MEAN WITH ALL THESE STUDIO SINGERS OUT THERE, ITS REFRESHING WHEN PEOPLE CAN REALLY SING, AND DO IT WELL! AND ITS AN ADDED BONUS WHEN THEY CAN TAKE A SONG AND MAKE IT THEIR OWN AND STILL MAKE IT FLY!

  • @THEMAKEUPARTIST

Why are you shouting...its like you're still at the ballgame

  • The only thing I remember about this game is that the Braves lost 1-0. :-(

  • A group like no other...they actually switched up their parts for this song....normally Cindy is 1st soprano and Maxine is 1st alto...but here those two switch it up...nt many groups can do that

  • that was so beautiful

  • they always looked to Dawn for the pich???

  • I love En Vogue but, I don't like hip-hop versions of the national anthem. I don't like it when the nationa anthem is all tricked up. It should make one reflect and feel a sense of pride.

  • @ppaulst This IS NOT hip hop...this is doo wop...a form of singing popularized in the 50s

  • @ninetiesbaby10 I stand corrected. I still don't like it.

  • @ppaulst Well you are entitled to your opinion

  • @ninetiesbaby10 Let me be clear I love En Vogue. What I'm taking exection to is there tricked up version fo the national anthem.

  • @ppaulst Ok....um im not offended or anything....like I said you are entitled to your opinion

  • @ppaulst yep....i wish people could just sing it the way it was meant to be sung...

  • I would have been hilarious if ppl started clapping to the song.

  • ya know what .. DC is such a great group and yes they may have been influenced by them but that does not mean they stole it .. they both put their own style into their version of this song .. DESTINYS CHILD IS AND HAVE BEEN THE 1# SELLING FEMALE GROUP .ENVOGUE WAS GREAT IN THEIR TIME BUT LIKE US ALL WE HAVE TO FOLLOW IN SOME ONES FOOT STEPS TO PAVE THE WAY FOR A YOUNGER GENERATION .. WAKE UP GROW UP AND BE SMART PEOPLE

  • PERFECT harmony

  • At the 1:21 mark is sssoooo my favorite part when they hit that minor chord. This is what a girl group should sound like! If you can sing, know your scales and know how to sing all the major AND minor chordes!!!

  • I totally agree! They hit the minor chord perfectly and the audience love it!

  • @barose1 you better know about that minor chord they sang!!!! GREAT

  • I Luv this N A group They respect each others Lead position and Blend so Perfectly I Luv Envouge Always--B4 Destiny Child/During/After and Beyond

  • Way to go funky divas!!

  • This performence must have been right before Dawn left. I'm sure glad she's back.

  • Wow! They did it to me again! Good music should always make one feel something, even if it can't put in words. These 4 individuals never fail.

  • En Vogue Sing It! I love them.

  • derek jeter looks so fine n super young in this...u knw thiis was old..lol...but i just have one thing to say y r yall talkin about DC...this iis not they performance...i hate that everytime im watching EV videos ppl always compare DC and them..they shouldn't be compared at all...shit if yall want to compare pick another group...like xscape or sumthin to compare wit DC....cuz they r not on EV level...sorry

  • destiny's child pretty much duplicated this ! but they both sound awesome !

  • DC stole it, like they have done several times..you can see how big of an influence EV was on them.

  • The alternate title of this should be: "Final National Anthem at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium." Because this occured prior to Game 5 of the 1996 World Series--the Stadium's final game. (I watched that game, BTW)

  • I love them. They are the ultimate girl group. They can all sing, they can share a song, and they knew how to be sexy without selling their bodies. I love this rendition. I love their harmony. I LOVE EN VOGUE!

  • I love En Vogue.

  • Notice how they all take turns singing, there is only one other female group i know that could do that and its not destinys child

  • So strong so powerful and yet so smooth!!! Go En Vogue!!!............ i don't care what anyone says this line-up has something no other line up has.because they could break down into harmony very well on the spot!!!

  • love the harmonies

  • yall better sang!!!1

  • Best rendition ever, my favorite by far!!!

  • That's kinda hard to say cause Nsync brought it too

  • I meant NO...lol

  • i'm not going to lie, i had liked the old Destiny's Child better when they had LaTavia and LaToya because they kind of reminded me of a younger version of En Vogue with their same outfits but different style, and their harmony was almost like En Vogue.

  • very different... never heard it like this before

  • Damnnn that was fabulous!!!! Good on them:)

  • this is my favorite celebrity rendition of the national anthem!!

    loves me some funky divas!

  • they seem so bored

  • motha fuckin' legends luv u en vogue

  • And though I love Ms. B., if you're gonna jump on anybody's ass for doing vocal acrobatics all the time and showin' off, you should be jumpin' on her and DC, if anybody.

  • Umm, what would be the point of singing it if you were gonna sing it just like everyone else has been?? The main reason I hate this song is becuz everyone sings it traditionally. They're the first group to ever sing it in a way that allowed me to enjoy it--save Whitney Houston. And they are paid to show off their vocal skills, so that's why they're do whopping all over the place. Thirdly, somebody must've liked it cuz the crowd was applauding before they got the last note out.

  • im not jumping on anybodys ass im was jus stating my opinion...but why would i jump all of DC# and beyonce...just like u said with en vougue they are paid to show off their vocal skills so it wouldnt be fair..im just saying when it comes to the national anthem in my opinons the doo whops wasnt called for other than the performance was fine...

  • YUCK! En Vogue built that stage, the same way DC thinks that shakin it is their calling card; true vocal ability and class is the calling card of En Vogue.

  • just like true vocal ability and class is in the calling card of Destiny's Child...

  • True vocal ability? Class? Destiny's Child?....WHATEVA

  • yea and whateva to yo comment....

  • Looks at DC letting 1 member do all the background vocals...YES! TRUE VOCAL ABILITY!, Looks at DC performing in skinpy outfits and half dress...YES! CLASS!....WHATEVA

  • yep they do have true vocal ability...not gonna argue about that...there are many performances with them in full clothing..so yep wateva...

  • True vocal ability? You must don't know real singing....and Destiny's Child sold sex so....yeah VERY CLASSY....

  • yea i do kno wat real singing is..DC sold girl/women enpowerment...yea that is very classy...

  • Really?!....Lil Kim's music is about female enpowerment...so...no

  • have u even heard any of lil kim's songs...now that is about sex and dick...so unless ur thinking of 2 different female enpowerments lil kim show aint it...DC sold female enpowerment yea really...sooo uhh yea...

  • Female empowerment=to empower women....that's what Lil Kim did...just in a sexual kind of way....so female empowerment doesn't = CLASS

  • yea female empowerment does equal class...female empowerment means bringin women together and staying by each other when a man does u wrong and dirty...thats female empowerment...

  • and sexually...which does not=class....since when did being half naked mean class?

  • ur jus picking out one point to say they dont have class...they have class and thats all im gonna say....u have ur opinion and i have mine....u acting like they are the only group to ever have a sexual video or put on sexual clothing...please every group and artist has done it...

  • NOT ALL....and there's a difference from being sexy hear and there, than to sell sex....and that's what DC did...They sold that fact that they were sexy...compare them to TLC, TLC a very nice looking girls, but they didn't sell that.

  • regardless of what they sold (which is female empowerment) that doesnt take away from there great voices...which is why they sold more albums than TLC and which is why TLC is nothing without the L in it...because the T and the C cant stand a vocal battle between the B the K or the M...talent is talent regardless of how u sell it...and DC3 has plenty of vocal talent to go around....dancing singing u name it...they got it...where is TLC now??...oops nobody knows...although i love me some TLC....

  • Where is Destiny's Child now....Oooops...NO ONE CARES!!!...And TLC have out sold DC in the US...who really knows worldwide.

  • Destiny's child sold more than just sex but even if they did or didn't.... Doesn't change the fact that they are good singer and which they are and they have proved that hundreds of times over.

  • Your right , we just have whack ass haters on here that's all.

  • true idk even know how this got started all i said was i didnt like the doo whops in the performance but other than the performance was fine...ppl comin at me talking about Destiny's Child why??..i have no idea i just think its funny for anybody to discredit just amazing voices just because they have cross over succes and verstially..doest change that fact that they are the best selling female group of all time....

  • Check YOUR (REAL)FACTS!!! Spice Girls is STILL the best selling female group of all time....62million...they took the title from TLC and had it every since...

  • whos after the spice girls??...thats right destiny's child...either way u look at it they still sold TLC world wide and have much more international success and as i as said before they cand stand a vocal battle with Destinys child....

  • No one knows true world wide sales...and according to The Book Of World Records...Spice Girls....TBOWR NEVER gave Destiny's Child that title...so,believe whatever Mathew puts out

  • idc wat mathew puts out...i beleive what neilson soundscan puts out which tracks albums sales....the World Music awards recognized DC as the best selling girl group of all time...this pointless i dont even know how this got started and this is the end of it....

  • According to Neilson Soundscan,3 other female groups have out sold them...so....NO

  • if ur talkin US its TLC then DC if ur Talkin WW then its SG then DC thenTLC so idk wat u talkin bout sooooo yea...

  • Know one no's true world wide sales....so

  • yea there is look at they sold and other countries and add them up....duhhhhh...lol

  • Ummmm...the only other places that you can keep track of is UK, and sometimes Japan....so,...WorldWide sales are hard to prove

  • ummm there are world music charts that keeps track of the albums artists released in other countries other than UK and Japan..soo WW sales are not hard to prove...

  • thats wat i was saying...i didnt think some of that was called for in the performance..theb ppl comin at me talkin about DC3 lol..weird right lol...

  • I thought that at first but things really picked up when Cindy started singing. Some of their best solo performances I think and the vocal arrangement really came together once things got going.

  • Yeah they are definatley some bad sister with voices but i just can't get in to the syle they sanged the national athem in. I think i they did it another way i would have liked it. Still good though can't lie.:-0

  • first of all destiny's child are great singers and which they have proved it a hundred times over regarldless of what they sing about or how they dance on stage. I know Beyonce proved her vocals are real and so have kelly and michelle. What a shame how their are so many haters and that denie the truth even when it's staring them in the face.

  • Unbelievable! The best female group of all time. I absolutely love them. Work it out Maxine, she eats the backgroung up, love her!!

  • YASSSSSSSSS, Them girls is the best girl group ever...F*ck Beyonce and Destiny's Child....everything they have sang all you can hear is Beyonce's yodeling ass all over the other two girls...But EN VOGUE, Polished and Perfect.....YASSSSSS!!!!

  • They shut that downnnnn!! Yesssssss Envogue! YEs!!

  • my fav female r n b group cant wait for the new cd in the fall

  • They have a new cd coming out!?!?! If it is the orig 4 girls I am on that like a fat girl on kfc!

  • its the originals :D

  • En Vogue is easily the GREATEST female vocal group EVER!!!! No one else even comes close.

  • Catch a mutha f ing fire!!!!!!!!! that was to hotttt

  • They sound excellent singing this song together.

  • good grief terry voice was soaring

  • Destinys Child was good except one thing. Once again, it was the beyonce show! Beyonce drowned them out, it was like she was singing and carrying the whole group. I mean you heard kelly pretty good, but michelle hinestly did not have to be there. Thats why I think envogue is better as a complete group. Cause they all were able to showcase equal talent.

  • Whoa! Was that Derek Jeter @ 1:06?Oh wow he looks different.

  • yes it was him and have to remember tis is over a decade old

  • Them people had a confused look on they faces like wtf?! lol

  • gee...yankees...their so young back then.

  • DC arrangement aint got shit on this, and DC learned all they know from En vogue.

  • u aint seen hostility yet... and don't go acting like you innocently made that remark, when you knew that it would provoke a reaction on an En Vogue video. why you gettin all defensive btw? after all, that was just my opinion lol
