Southern Pacific did use " Black Widow " diesels occasionally on passenger trains!
Not just in movies like " Suddenly " or " Bad Day At Black Rock ".

Of the 6 GS series, GS 4 & GS 5 had dual headlights
Most of those Southern Pacific Daylights are GS-3's and GS-5's the one we all know about today is a GS-4

Thanks so much. I remember seeing that train in a book (called Choo Choo) that I used to read to my kids. That train is in it as a sketch. It was a surprise to see it in "real life". Cheers.

Gulf Mobile & Ohio early experimental train.
I beleive it is CB&Q E5 with currigated skirts.
