Ok, that's just what I read somewhere. Do you know who was? They may have meant that he was the founder of Bak Mei as it is now. Just as Lam Yiu Kwai is the founder of modern Dragon. He took his family style and mixed it with what he learnt from Tai Yuk Sim See and the result is what we now call Dragon. Do you study Bak Mei, CLFDevil?

Bak Mei and Dragon are sister styles. I think that Lam Yiu Kwai and Cheung Lai Chuen (founder of Bak Mei) were close friends with Cheung even learning Dragon. This is why they are similar. They were two of the "3 tigers of the East river". Both these styles are Hakka Kuen and so is Wing Chun so that is why they are similar.

@fatmelonn yes, according to legend, wingchun and dragon style both comes from Ng Mui. it's also said that dragon style is a harder form of wingchun and to learn it, u need a foundation in wingchun. sourced from my sifu.
