ATTENTION SOUND/BOARD TECH are you from the Helen Keller school of sound? take a lap and hit the showers dude YOUR FIRED

  • I knew this wasnt bonzo playing as soon as I heard the drums.

  • drumming was ok but no one can play exactly like bonzo (RIP)

    plants voice is amazing

  • I think that the keyboard-organ-synth john paul jones is playing is a yamaha gx-1

  • fotfl! 1:56

  • robert plant & jimmy page the best of the best forever !!!

  • dudes i tihnk this was may 14 or 15 in 1988 lol

  • 4:45 eheheh Robert rox :p

  • My favourite bit if this is at 4:45 when Robert sings "Oh father of the four winds fill my sails - again" and you just catch him smiling because he realised that he repeated this verse...!!!

  • so what if it aint that good at least the drummers tryin

  • wow this is bad

  • Unfortunately the entire Atlantic Records show was a perfect storm for Zep. They barely rehearsed. Page was drunk or numb. Jason Bonham's playing, because of nervousness and a lack of rehearsing, was all over the place. Plant sensing it was going to be a train wreck, seems pissed off (I don't think he smiled once during the whole show) and aloof.

The sound over the television was terrible because the keyboards were excluded.

Watch the Earls Court 1975 clips here on YouTube. Zep at their best.

  • I think Jason's drumming sounds pretty good on most of the songs. And JPJ was probably playing well cause he always does.

  • I guess its easy to think that you are sombody that we should listen to I'm sure you didn't have a front row seat at the concert but you must have if you were able to read plants mind and smell the alcohol on pages breath

  • the drumming is horrible, hmm..., why is that?

    Miss Bonham - RIP

  • Ok I guess no DVD this year.......heard someone on youtube say "not maybe, definately" regarding a DVD release of the O2 show...oh well wishful thinking.....but Mr.Page has put it on the backburner for now.

  • i read about this show, they play good, but sound was bad "pluged" to record. greetings from poland guys

  • Great to hear they are releasing a DVD from the O2!

Their 2003 DVD was a good retrospective, however they left out "Ten Years Gone" and why no footage from the '77 Tour?

Hope they can put it together for one last tour later this year when RP finishes up with Allison Krauss?

  • chaz where did you hear they are releasing a dvd because nothings official.

  • My friend was at the Atlantic Records show back in 1988,and he said they were so out of it and they didn't play till 1:00 AM.Yeah thankfully they rehearsed since June 07 until the O2 show.....wish I could have been there, maybe a DVD will surface?

  • robert plant= phenomenal and gorgeous.

  • Page is 64

    and Plant is 59

  • I believe there is a two (2) year difference between Page and the rest of the Zep band

  • I believe there is a two (2) year difference between Page and the rest of the Zep band

  • robert is 59 and jimmy is 64 and john is 62

  • puff daddy sucxs as hell men got hit with other,s music i blame that

  • this was awesome but ilike puff daddys remake too but this is classic so it rox !!

  • This is from 88? then this is like 20 years old already. I wonder what they sound like now trying to play... They probably are close to 60 since they were from the 60s and 70s...

  • they NAILED this song at their reunion tour in December 07. They all still have it. Plant still sounds amazing

  • @ejavoric I totally agree - I was at the O2 in Dec '07 and it was completely and utterly fantastic!!!

  • their like 60 here what do you expect its not gonna sound the same but its fuckin good for their ages

  • This was a not too good sounding Atlantic Records 40th Anniversary gig at The Garden 5/14/1988....had a friend that went to this show.......Live Aid 1985 and this were not the best for these guys as I remember.

  • Yeah, especially since here there's no keyboard sound, reportedly Page called that unforgivable and then at Live Aid, the moron of a roadie gave Page a guitar that was totally out of tune for Stairway to Heaven. Thankfully nothing like that happened for the O2 show.
