  • i wish i had a pet shop like taht around where i live...

  • where do u get your cages

  • Never feed a monitor with your hands dude. Especially with the species with the longest teeth, due to being a tree dwelling apex hunter.

  • Tegidae is not related to snakes or Varanidae

  • From what I understand they have never videotaped a Croc monitor in the wild. I wish animal planet would stop showing crocodiles and sharks, but look at all the other reptiles that aren't snakes.

  • Where can u buy baby chickens like that?

  • @Varanus23 Indeed!

  • You Gay? You looks like and speak like a gay :-D

  • @Cutsonthebody thanks for your help fantastic shop, great help do you ship any reptiles at all to me if i eas going to buy one online

  • It seems like buying some of the more exotic reptiles is a lot harder in Europe than America. A lot of people I've talked to in England have said they have problems finding tegus, or even boas. Doesn't seem like you guys have any problems getting amazing animals, though.

  • The tegu is too fat!

  • awwww, i have 2 ackies, joanna and crona and i am hoping that they will breed at some point, crona is much bigger than the one in the video and likes going for a walk on the leash i got him, lol

  • @Diamond0000000000000 i saw some online for 800

  • @narutofroever I know but what's the deffrince?

  • @DJ182100 There really isnt a big difference its just they dont come from the same family.

  • your extremely lucky. i would love to be there lol. thats reptile heaven omg.

  • You seem to know your stuff mate... I'm looking to get a baby Bosc, i'm going to start off with a small 48x16x16 vivarium until he grows a bit... I'm goin to have a heat mat at one end, do you recommend a UV strip or just a normal bulb for light and heating? Also whats your preferred bedding?

  • @TheArtOfFreestyle

I would avoid using a heat mat for a Bosc. I would use a Bulb for the heat and a UVB strip for the daylight. The bedding I prefer is forest floor/ cocofibre as its very cool looking and is quite cheap.

    Cheers for watching dude.

    Tom

  • Croc monitors are from Papua New Guinea.

  • I do not know if I have asked this, but how large terrarium will they have the least to be able to run around for a ackie monitor (if it is alone). is the diurnal or nocturnal. how big tank to you have in the store?

    sorry for my english

  • I do not know if I have asked this, but how large terrarium will they have the least to be able to run around for a ackie monitor (if it is alone). is the diurnal or nocturnal. sorry for my english

  • Croc monitors grow up to 8 ft but there has been water monitors seen over 10 ft.

  • how large terrarium, I need a black and white tegu?

    what does a tegu cost

  • @rullator007

An adult Tegu requires a 8x4x4 vivarium. They cost between £120 - £250 depending on wether you get a baby or an adult and what type you get.

    Hope this helps. =)

  • how big tank do i need to have if i want the B&W tegu? and how muts do they cost?

  • To sum it up to some people:

Komodo = Largest Lizard on the planet

Crocodile Monitor = Longest Lizard on the planet

  • @theanaconda666

    Read the comments dude =)

    They answer your questions.

Glad you liked the video :-)

  • Awesome vid, but isn't that black and White tegu's tank a bit too small? I was told 8' should be the minimum tank size for an adult

  • Thanks for uploading, video is great! Keep em coming.

  • @seth61682

    Cheers dude,

I will try and keep em coming, chameleons next!

  • Every day dude, the amount depends on the age and size of the animal. With tegus you need to give them a variety of foods (fruit, mice, chicks, locusts etc...) and most monitors only require meat (chicks, mice etc...)

  • How many times do u have to feed them?

  • so your saying that monitor lizards and tegus are closely related to snakes right? if so..then that's just freakin' awesome! lol i've always wondered that considering that tegus, monitors, and snakes do have the "forked tongue" in common, anything else that each may have similar to one another? they're my favorite reptiles haha, and i'm thinking about having a monitor lizard, tegu, and snake collection in the future. it'll be great!

  • @layton222

You are correct, an adult Tegu requires a 8x4x4 vivarium.

The vivarium you see him coming out of is his holiday home, lol! =) It was convenient for filming to have him in there for the afternoon.

    Cheers for watching dude :-)

  • that tegus cage is waaaaay to small

  • I should buy a ackie soon, how big tank do I need at minimum

  • @rullator007

    Hey dude!

For housing an Ackie monitor I would recommend a 3x2x2 (LWH) enclosure for a single adult. Or a 4x2x2 (LWH) enclosure for a pair.

    Hope this helps =)

    Happy Herping!!

  • @SuperSirTomahawk thanks man :D

  • @jarqu14

    Indeed, you are correct =)

  • Tegus are teiids. monitors are varanus so they are not the same thing.

  • how much do young ackie monitor lizards cost???

  • @TheDarkelmo23

    Hey Dude!

They differ from breeder to breeder but around the £200 - £250 for adults and £120 - £150 for babies.

    Happy Herping!!

  • hey do you have an tegus in stock for sale if so how much ???? thanks

  • @HoddeRZHD

Yeah he has Tegus in stock. Just go on down to the store and Phil will be happy to answer any questions you may have. If he doesnt have any that you like there, he can even special order what you are after! =)

Is this going to be your first reptile? If so I have one good tip for you... Reptiles like routine. They can become very friendly if you put in the time with them. Tegus are very rewarding reptiles!

    Happy Herping Dude!! = )

  • @15slee123

    Tegu's are great!

They are so very tame and they don't get too big like a croc monitior. :-)

  • @vizardlord01
