  • On the 501st play the tape gets eaten, then you have to rewind it with a pencil.

  • what is that song LOL

  • Cassettes! What a treasure!

  • isn't this scene from family guy or the simpsons?!

  • That guy must be..... TIRED!

  • First two things I thought of when I saw this was Family Guy and Jackass 3D

  • This scene is tacken off in the simpsons when milehouse gets bone strom for his console.

  • whats the song

  • @pivotiskool The Ride of the Valkyries

  • @Agardion

could very well be, i think it depends on the kind of sound someone seeks. Digital is very highly detailed and has no specific charasteristics of it's own. Analog media such as tapes and records tend to make the sound a bit warmer and depending on quality a bit fuzzier. Same as digital and analog amplifiers. It's a sound thing. And tape decks are damn cheap.

  • WAGNER!

  • stupid watermark! boo!

  • I have a bunch of Maxell cassettes. All of it has Disney music on it. It came in a variety of tapes both normal and chrome. I have LN, UD, UD-XLII, UDS-II, XLII, XLII-S and UR. I love the brand, but never seen this commercial until now. I remember that spoof which was in "Stay Tuned" where they did a parody of the classic Maxell commercial called Max-Hell, "It will blow you away!"

  • @VideoUploaderTester Get your balls cut off, you racist bastard.

  • More like Family Guy!

  • I have a big high res picture of this commercial on my wall. Shit's so cash

  • I beleve this is 1983. Why is that guy blowing away with the Maxell cassette tape is playing the cool song?

  • Peter Murphy not?

  • aha seen it once in family guy

  • lol me 2, now I know what it's from

  • Little nugget of trivia: That's Peter Murphy of Bauhaus sitting in the chair. :)

  • No its not. Peter Murphy was in a different Maxwell comercial

  • i have those vintage maxell udxL series tapes.

  • You know i still have a load of maxell's kicking around and there all over 20 years old and they still play good...

  • XLII was the best superferric tape with good dynamic range, low noise and great fidelity!
