Analog media such as tapes and records tend to make the sound a bit warmer and depending on quality a bit fuzzier. Same as digital and analog amplifiers. It's a sound thing. And tape decks are damn cheap.
I have a bunch of Maxell cassettes. All of it has Disney music on it. It came in a variety of tapes both normal and chrome. I have LN, UD, UD-XLII, UDS-II, XLII, XLII-S and UR. I love the brand, but never seen this commercial until now. I remember that spoof which was in "Stay Tuned" where they did a parody of the classic Maxell commercial called Max-Hell, "It will blow you away!"
On the 501st play the tape gets eaten, then you have to rewind it with a pencil.
