Thought I had done lots of research, I knew the pope was the equivalent to a divine emperor, the nuns originated from the vestal virgins & there was no evidence of a historical Jesus I had not connected Caesar to Jesus. I'm not sure if Mark Antony & Lepidus ever actually wrote something. Some of their speeches were surely published, but they were not authors as e.g. Caesar & Cicero were. But Antony definitely could've supervised the Urgospel before Mk, and the evangelist Marcus' name could be a nod to the first flamen Divi Iulii MARCUS Antonius, who had religious control over the east until he was defeated by Octavian. It's noteworthy that the Markan text does not have the Nativity, which is an Augustus-story!

Well, those folks were very well educated and despite not been authors they were priests, and they must have certainly written letters or prayers. Good point about the letters. Paul's Epistles — Paul never existed in the first place (at least not as "Paulus of Tarsus") — are most probably paraphrased from Octavian/Augustus' mission in the East, after he had defeated Antony. Some of it might also be Josephus, who knows. In any case, as priests (and Lepidus as PontifexMaximus!!) they would have written letters etc. and other works, e.g. the "libri pontificales". But most of them have been lost; also Caesar's writings as P.M. have been lost.

Jesus was Caesar by Francesco Carotta. There is also one by Gary Courtney, Both arrived independently at the same conclusion. I feel stupid because I had not seen the connection thought I am very well educated in Roman history. All of it is due to mistranslations over time. Ash wednesday was always odd to me.
