The glitch in graphics seen at 6:01 is not an uncommon thing or a video error. When the game was released in America, I believe that all copies were glitched at this part of the game, and the only way to get past it was to memorize the number of steps you had to take to get to the dual blade.
@axemranger No idea to be honest. All I know is that each copy of the game I played had this graphics error, and even some of the emulated versions have it.
@BlackWyvernFS I see... I was playing the game on my SNES after years of being haunted by the fact I never did beat the grass puzzle on Dragon Mountain (I was around 5-8 when I first played this game). I finally beat it, felt really happy. Then I got to this part and thought that the game was screwed up. I wanted to rage and cry at the same time. I looked up how to get past the shrine, and came across this video. Then saw your comment, which made everything better.
@axemranger Awesome, I'm really glad I was able to help. That part is so rediculously easy to get past because there's no fighting or anything, and you can telelport out after. All it is is a simple matter of memorizing the steps here.. I think it's like three steps to the right and then straight up till you get to the sword. :)
@BlackWyvernFS Actually, looking it over again I believe it's straight north till you stop, then three - four steps to the right, up again, and then three - four steps to the left and up once more, and you're set.
@BlackWyvernFS I got to the end last night, but ran out of magic which you MUST have if you want to kill the final boss. Needless to say, I raged quite hard.
