  • The more shit you say like this the more you look like nick griffin LOL

  • There's an awful lot of judging going on here from you damned Christians. You are damning yourselves calling him names and saying he's fat, stupid etc. this is according to your own bible. And I bet you had sex before marriage too, so you' be in hell with him, huh? Or you could wake up and realize what a lot of nonsense it all is!

  • @eastshawnee hehe... im the one who called him a fat sell-out. and i'll call him a desperate attention-whore too. even though i think he is funny... sometiems.

and guess what... im not Christian! what u gonna do about that?

yes, i didt have sex before marriage... i was never married.

the nonsense is the one u dream up every day.

  • He never had faith in the first place and i hope he isn't the poster boy for atheism somebody that takes the piss out of poor people disabled etc

  • well at least he realiased early in life what a lot of cock religion is (or should that be con perhaps the greatest con in history)but each to there own!!!!!

  • what i believe in is that there is good and bad people in this world no matter of religion or race or belief you just cant judge him, if he truly believes his atheism thoughts. Reality is... all religions and people that believed in god are no better than who believes in shit. its your actions that counts not your game... i do believe in God and this atheist and I share a common idea that heaven is on earth :)

  • He didnt "lose religion" he "gained insight"...

  • @The1VoiceOfReason No he lost religion and became dammed

  • Comment removed

  • @The1VoiceOfReason into his own fat arse, aye...

  • @CT2507 Oh Lord,

    Oh you are so big!

    So absolutely huge!

Gosh we’re all really impressed down here I can tell you.

Forgive us oh Lord, for this our dreadful toting.

But you’re so strong and well just so super!”

  • @The1VoiceOfReason hehe... nice poem. it seems God dint give u the gift of genius and creativity for nothing. u spend it well.

  • why do u keep spreading your silly superficial message fat boy. no one cares about your ignorance of the spiritual side of life.

  • @CT2507 seems like over 90,000 care, faggot

  • @InsaneFameNYC how can i be the faggot here when it is u surely, who drinks the jiz of this fatty boy? and u even seem grateful about it, no?! :)

    cheers friendo... :))

  • @CT2507 lmfao you are soo fucking stupid looooooooooooooool

  • @jordanmylesevans u say that now... but once u've had the rod u learn to appreciate. i guarantee u that!

then u will only talk of my skills and talents and i will not be able to to shut u up!

wait and see... it will be wondrous.

  • @CT2507 Wait, What?

  • @jordanmylesevans wait and see, i said...

  • @CT2507 is "having the rod" a euphemism for something? you religious types are disgusting.

  • @Lukeyy19 haha... im no religious, boy. im just a guy who thinks that only weaklings and bums choose the superficial path in life.

its easy to say i dont believe in this or that. yea, but what have u researhched!? what have u discovered, except your fat belly, pulling lint out of your navel and holding your dick speculating about life!

look at him. he is a fat dude who thinks he is entitled to have an opinion about anything because he is famous. or funny.

fame has risen to his head.

  • @CT2507 surely if you're not religious then you have chosen the same path?

It seems to me that you're quite an asshole, you complain that someone doesn't deserve an opinion, while dishing out your own stupid opinions, whether Ricky was famous or not, he would still have the same opinions, but if someone invited him to their show, and asks him about his opinion, he is going to tell it, nobody asked you and you're still spewing shit everywhere.

Also, what has his or my weight got to do with it?

  • @Lukeyy19 its a cliché to be a celeb and talk bad about religion. this is what the networks like to hear. they like to push these thoughts onto u. u are swallowing a cliché.

if u are too fat u cant have an opinion. who will look up to u if u are too fat!?

loose weight first, and then get an opinion.

  • @CT2507 ah, you have even more stupid opinions I see, good for you.

  • @Lukeyy19 yea, so...!? am i not entitled to my opinions. if u believe in the freedom of thought and expression. well... these are my opinions.

get your head out of your ass, and u can have your own opinions.

  • @CT2507 why should you be entitled to opinions if others aren't?

  • @Lukeyy19 its simple... because im not famous!

noblesse oblige.... do u know this expression? it means nobility obliges. it means with wealth, and power comes responsibility.

famous people should be much more careful what they say than i, because people listen and look up to them. they are our idols. and we put our idols before God and model ourselves after them. they in turn become our new religion. that is not good.

...thats why fat hobbit should watch his mouth.

  • @CT2507 yes I have, and you're using it wrong, it is not his responsibility to not tell stories of his past, it would be understandable to use the phrase if he'd committed adultery, or a crime, but all he is doing is sharing a story from his childhood, and voicing an opinion held by millions of others

But even if it did apply here, anyone who views Ricky as their idol, probably does so because of these views he has on the world, I for one have a greater respect for him knowing he is an atheist.

  • @Lukeyy19 am i using it wrong? i say, if u cant do good, then shut up about your faults and missunderstandings.

if he only said it once or twice then it would be forgivable. but this is one of his favorite tunes. he has sung this song some 97 times by now. why keep pushing that idea onto people!? there are people who are perfectly happy leading a religious life. and who find virtues contemplating spirtual ideas. its not his business to make life harder for them than it has to be.

  • @CT2507 also, keeping on pushing it as he does, only shows desperation. why is he so eager to destroy religious ideas in others? u think he is objective? he is not... he is very bent on making others think like himself. and young and superficial people, like yourself, who are in doubt who get fascinated with everything shiny, well, they fall in the ditch of atheism, because it becomes a fashionable thing to do, when so many celebs are doing it. but its empty, and they know it.

  • @CT2507 and its the emptiness that drives him. cause having been an atheist for so long, he still isnt fulfilled. its an isolated and lonly feeling.

so spreading his own belief system is just a way to find meaning. making others believe like himself is just a way of calming himself down.

he is not out to help anyone out of the evil clutches of religion. he is doing it for himself. by convincing others, his own spot becomes less unbareable.

  • @kingcarcas1349 nah... its just basic psychology. u should have paid better attention in school.

  • @CT2507 And if you read the God Delusion you will see there is nothing wrong with taking war to Christianity, it is a disease to humanity. Plus they love war. Chances are better that there is no God, people just like to think it's 50/50.

  • @kingcarcas1349 beware of the religion of capitalism and freedom. thats what u should be scared of.

dont blame a religion for what greedy people make out of it. try to understand what makes man greedy, low and stupid. if u look deep enough u find that at the core of all religions is exactly the same truth. but u have to be interested to study.

if u are just satisfied with the superficial, then yea, u can think of wars, delusions, diseass and gambling.

to me there is no gambling

  • @CT2507 so being atheist is a fault and a misunderstanding?

Atheists are good and when we do good things it's just to be good, it's not because we fear if we don't we will be condemned to spend eternity in "Hell"

If people keep asking him, then he is going to keep answering, maybe your beef should be with the media, not the people they speak to.

It's not his business to answer people's questions, but its perfectly fine for people to knock on my door and tell me I'm wrong not to believe in a God?

  • @Lukeyy19 when u take such an active part in beeing an atheist that u are almost on a crucade to spread it, then yes. it is a fault. becuse it stems from nothing realy, except having given up and not searched deep enough. so he experienced some pain as a child, so life was tough... boo hooo... it is so for most people. everyone has problems. why whine and try to influence others to think your way.

my beef is certainly also with the media. its with the fat hobbit, and the media.

  • @CT2507 He isn't trying to spread atheism, he's just answering an interviewer's questions.

There are plenty more people trying to spread religion, than atheism!

Being atheist isn't giving up, it's far from it.

You are rude, and insensitive. This will be the last comment I make on this video, goodbye.

  • @Lukeyy19 if i was calm, soft and loving u would just spit in my nose caling me a dreamy guillible religious sad fart. ;)

u think i dont know what im up against!?

being an atheist is about giving up. i gave up myself once and became an atheist. i know exactly what it means. thinking i had become so independent and clever... lol.

but suit yourself. just dont think that everyone who isnt an atheist is a soft altruist.

  • @Lukeyy19 and he is trying to spread atheism. he is very driven in that direction... u just havent paid attention.

he does it in all his stand-up. in "The Office", in most of his podcasts, and his Extras... he keeps talking about having lost his faith, about homosexul priests. keeps bashing religious faith and knocking believers as being weird, twisted, or unintelligent.

  • @Lukeyy19 also, if people come knocking, let them knock. why take offense. in spite of their many faults they mean well.

  • @CT2507 "Christians are all forgiving and kind to other beliefs"

    yeah right.

  • @zeroskatr11 haha... u mistakingly presume that i am a Christian and as such should follow certain rules!

how about i follow my own rules and call out a fake and a hypocrite when i see one.

  • Becoming an atheist for me was pretty easy.

Sure my parents still won't speak to me, but I'm sure they'll grow up. :)

  • Comment removed

  • I never understood the point in being an Atheist, if they are right it doesn't matter haha

  • @aproffittable So you're religious just in case God exists, because if he does you'll go to heaven? Because the chances are, he doesn't. You're deluding yourself believing, and as there is only one life you have to live it as fully as possible. Believing in God is just wasting it.

  • @MyFaceBurns Well why totally reject something that could be true? That's the thing I don't understand. I'm a Christian but I also believe there are other ways to find God. Why aren't you at least Agnostic or something and just say there could be a God but you're not sure? It just seems silly to me that you guys would totally reject something that could be true.

  • @aproffittable It could be true. Of course it could. However, just because I have the ability to think about a gigantic pink donkey that lives on Mars does not mean it is suddenly existent. Technically, you could believe in absolutely anything, because there is literally no proof at all for the existence of God, and yet people still believe, meaning that everything that has no proof or more should be believed, JUST in case.

  • @MyFaceBurns But tons of civilizations have written about a creator, there are no writings about pink donkeys haha I just think if you have faith in a Creator it doesn't hurt

  • @aproffittable Yes, and this pink donkey will be another creator, one in thousands. It has just the same amount of credibility as the rest do.

  • @aproffittable The truth doesn't hurt either.

  • @aproffittable Watch the series 'There are no gods' by 'TheraminTrees'. He explains it better than I ever could.

  • @aproffittable because as far as we are concerned, it can't be true, if you're Atheist, there is no doubt in your mind that there is no such thing as god, it's not possible for a "god" to exist as far as I'm concerned, the things we know, and our view on the world, leads us to this conclusion, and like Ricky said in the video, you can't believe in something, that you don't believe in. And as far as i see it, saying we're "rejecting" your religion is quite rude, when you are "rejecting" atheism.

  • @Lukeyy19 no I don't care about a particular religion, I think religion is very harmful, I just said you guys are rejecting the idea of a God when there possibly could be one

  • @MyFaceBurns Well maybe he will reward us all in the end, you never know for sure, and I'm not really religious I think religion is bad but I think something created the universe

  • @aproffittable I've never understood the point in believing in god, you could be enjoying the world for all the beauty that's been created over billions of years, mountains, rain forests, waterfalls, majestic animals, everything is amazing, when you think about how it all came to be scientifically, saying it was all just made by some all mighty being in 6 days, would take away from its beauty for me. if there is a god, why did he make me an Atheist?

  • @Lukeyy19 I just can't fathom how something came from nothing haha but who knows! We will find out the truth when we die

  • @aproffittable Quantum Fluctuations. It is INDEED possible for something to have come from nothing. I won't bother going into detail on a YouTube forum, but if you're interested, PM me.

I was a Biochemistry/Physics double major in college so I think I have SOME clout in this topic. :P

  • @Lukeyy19 in all fairness that story is metaphorical, as are alot of storys in the bible.

  • @MrCODZZ how is Genesis 1 metaphorical? what is "earth" a metaphor for? and what about "waters," "sky," "birds," "light," "day," etc... are these metaphors for something else?

  • He really is an artist with his words towards the very end. Pretty nice.

  • To all of those people who think Atheism is depressing or use the emotional argument 'when you die nothing happens' read this quote

"I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it."

    -Mark Twain

  • Definitely agree with the comment about Christmas...I have a friend who is Muslim and she gets really excited for Christmas even though she doesn't celebrate it. She follows a different religion, yet she is not offended by a Christian holiday and she doesn't think of it as a religious holiday...she just thinks of it as a time of togetherness and joy because it's not really thought of as a religious holiday anymore.

  • the closest thing to life after death is trying to remember being in the womb. Your mind, just isnt active. Period.

  • I am religious (baptist) and just wish to know what atheists think happens after death. (just a question)

  • @karanjhalaguy16578 same thing that happened before birth

  • @InsaneFameNYC what is that?

  • @karanjhalaguy16578 were you born, why are you asking me

  • @karanjhalaguy16578 nothing happens. you die.

  • @karanjhalaguy16578 Atheists think that when you die, you are either buried in the ground in a coffin or cremated. Atheists don't believe in an afterlife and usually believe you should live the life you are given to the full because that is all you get.

  • @karanjhalaguy16578 You become worm food.

  • an 8 year old learning? god dam it. the us sucks.... i need to move :/

  • @lvl2saskue Tell me which country has the lowest religious population and the highest literacy please so I can plan for the 18th bday

  • christmas is about presents not about jesus!

  • If there was no God how do you exist ur fat ass is not just made from nothing ppl like this guy do they try to be different by talking shit? this guys says alot of shit on the movie and off set he says the same thing. Your mother must be very disapointed in you cos u have no God and no faith.

  • @4everpraisethelord How very Christian of you.

  • @4everpraisethelord wow calm the fuck down. why are you criticizing people with different views from what you believe in. ricky gervais had never even criticized christianity or whatever religion you might be in. why should you?

  • @4everpraisethelord lol you probably know absolutely nothing of other beliefs. Also, what happened to "love thy neighbor?"

  • @4everpraisethelord If there is a God, how does he exist? What people need to learn is that there are some things we can't perceive. In this case, it's time. The universe never started, it was always here, it's just that our entire lives are based around beginnings and endings, so we think something must have created the universe. Just because you don't understand something, don't just go to the easy answer of "God made it that way".

  • @4everpraisethelord , if you have to swear, you've lost the argument.

  • A really good story. BOB!

  • god was an atheist

  • @Mogley52 Why are religious people so intent on forcing explanations of what happened at the moment before th e big bang? There is no consensus amongst scientists about exactly what happened, and a myriad of theories that are still being worked on, and data still being collected. You've trotted out a poorly understood version of what someone who isn't a professional in the field thinks happened, unsuitable for proving squat. The article you're referring to is an utter train wreck by the way.

  • THE SCIENTIFIC CASE AGAINST ATHEISM: Please read this Internet article of mine published in Russia's English Pravda. It will be a real eye-opener for all who think belief in a Creator is merely subjective blind faith. Also read my article, LIFE ON MARS NO SURPRISE (In the Earth's past there was powerful volcanic activity which spewed life-containing dirt and rocks (meteors) into outer space. Mars may literally have millions of tons of Earth soil)

  • WHAT IS SCIENCE? Science simply is knowledge based on observation. No one observed the universe coming by chance or by design, by creation or by macro-evolution. These are positions of faith. The issue is which faith the scientific evidence best supports. Natural laws can explain how an airplane or a cell works, but it's irrational to believe that mere undirected natural laws can bring about either. Read my Internet article: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM

  • THE ODDS of the sequence of molecules in a cell coming together by chance are similar to the odds of magnetic letters randomly bonding together in a sequence to form all the words and sentences in a dictionary. Without the right sequence, a cell's molecules won't work. Amino acids can come by chance but not proteins. Without DNA there can be no proteins and vice versa. Gradually won't do. It's all at once or not at all for a cell's survival. Read my article: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM

  • GENETIC INFORMATION CANNOT HAPPEN BY CHANCE, so it's more logical to believe that genetic similarities between all forms of life are due to a common Designer who designed similar functions for similar purposes. It doesn't mean all forms of life are biologically related! Also, "Junk DNA" isn't junk. These non-coding segments of DNA have recently been found to be vital in regulating gene expression. Read my popular Internet article: HOW FORENSIC SCIENCE REFUTES ATHEISM

  • NEW SPECIES: Although new species have come into existence, they don't carry any new genes. They've become new species only because they can't be crossed back with the original parent stock for various biological reasons. A biological "kind" allows for new species but not new genes. Nature has no ability to invent new genes for new traits. Only limited variations and adaptations are possible in nature, and all strictly within a biological "kind" (i.e. varieties of dogs, cats, etc.).

  • 3:44 Symphony of Science

  • I admore this guy he is cool

  • Yea... never needed a god to not rape a child or kill a person. If you do... wow... who's really got issues.

  • Science is what keeps the human race alive these days. Developments in DNA, medicine, research, everything. If there wasnt science the human race would have died out many many years ago!!

He's right in many ways, i know i live by christian values (do not kill, be accepting of each other, be forgiving etc) but i accept that the world is a bloody old place with many different creatures living on it!! I respect people who do have faith and believe in higher powers, whatever they may.

  • He's so sweet lol

  • well said ricky, well said

  • I am an Atheist, but I still celebrate Christmas with my family. My friends say "If you don't believe in Jesus, then don't celebrate his life." I don't think Christmas is about Jesus anymore, anyway. To most people, it's about togetherness and generosity, and I think that I should be able to celebrate that.

  • @gojacketa26 Actually the xians stole xmas from earlier pagan celebrations. So they are the ones who should rethink their celebration - not you.

  • @gojacketa26 Ha, so true. Christmas is for everyone :)

  • @gojacketa26 Perhaps you should consider celebrating the great Pastafarian tradition of Holiday?

  • @NumbFlynn Well I do like spaghetti, and ramen is certainly a miracle.

  • @gojacketa26 christmass shouls be the time when we read and learn from jesus how we should live our life. I agree with you this days christmass is all about money and gifts but it shouldnt be like that.

  • @4everpraisethelord In what way did gojacketa26 say Christmas was "all about money and gifts"? He said it was about generosity like giving a food basket to a homeless shelter or even your neighbors. He said Christmas is about being together and loving your family.

  • @BenForgyLink2010 Thank you for explaining that. I was also confused about what that guy was talking about.

  • @gojacketa26 Jesus wasn't born on the 25th of Dec.

  • @gojacketa26 Christmas shouldn't even be claimed to be from the Jewish religion. There are many many other religions that have placed the birth of their god on the winter solstice. You should refrain from even calling it Christmas! Just say "Happy Holidays!".

  • @gojacketa26

"I am an Atheist, but I still ... to celebrate that."

I celebrate the winter solstice! I like the sun, it's there for everyone to see and from winter solstice onwards until the summer solstice days are getting longer etc ...

I celebrate it by giving gifts to friends and family and eating whatever. Just happy to see more of the sun! :) I find that much more appealing than the holy shit! XD

But others can celebrate whatever they have good reasons for ...

  • become an Atheist soon it will over throw islam

  • become an Atheist soon it will over throw islam

  • my brother came in his name was bob it still is lol

  • 1:27 imagine an 8 year old acting like this..

  • Stuck up atheist, the only thing worst than a born again type. Also i doubt any working class mother has such low hopes for their child that their only hope is for them not to be killed in a pub.

  • @purplenurps You would know would you? For someone complaing about someone being a stuck up Atheist, you sure do sound like a stuck up religious twat.

  • @FISHGOMOO4321 I'm not religious and how do i sound stuck up? Why are you calling me a twat? I didn't say anything to you, if you want to argue don't insult for no reason.

  • I like the whole way of dieing and going to heaven and i do believe it - i can understand why people dont believe it it is very complicated im catholic BTW but i respect im and everyone else's beliefs faiths what ever (except islam) i think hes right living by Christian values is good and everyone should but not have to believe it. I belive in evolution but not fully because i dont believe the weakest humans should be left to die. I believe that all humans have the right to live happily :)

  • @MW32012 That is a pretty contradictory rant.

  • @Archerthemathman1 I know i find it hard to explain things :)

  • @MW32012 You seem to be a nice person, so I only want to explain one thing: The theory of evolution doesn't say that we should let the weakest die, it (basically) just says that all beings struggle to survive, the ones who develop skills, are more likely to survive and can procreate. It is possible that things like mercy and kindness have been evolved as such a skill. I'm sadly not a scientist, so I hope I explained it propperly, and that I didn't annoy you ;-)

  • @DasNutellamaedchen Ah i must have looked at it the wrong way - Thanks. In Britain about 100 and something years ago we used to leave the poorest to die out. Thanks for the more clear explanation.

  • @MW32012 My pleasure.

  • I have never had religon in my familly because my grandfather faught in the trenches in the first world war, he become atheist as no loving god could allow that to happen, (bits of human body raining, litteraly)

  • He looks really sad about it..

  • Well spoken, Ricky! We're quite alike in that aspect.

  • I was baptised and I don't believe that a magical Jewish zombie is the son of the creator, but I was told that I am a Christian and cannot convert. Religion fail.

  • @RPSM101 But then again, atheism doesn't need to "convert" you. We just have to say to you "In you face! What did we tell ya'!". Nah, just kidding. But to be serious, you don't need an official thing. You just have to think and say that you don't belive in it ;)

  • @notilhenger I know, I'm saying those people who say otherwise are retarded. Hence the "Religion fail".

  • Ricky got me thinking. If religious people only do nice things like charity and helping others because they think that will get them into heaven, and I do those things anyway because it is the nice and loving thing to do, who is doing it for a better reason? Christians are doing nice acts selfishly because they don't want to upset their god, where I do them because it is nice. A Christian's "good" acts are cleverly disguised selfish acts.

  • @pyromen321 true, but that is only false christians. God can see into the heart and he judges the motive.

  • @pyromen321 yup but they think they are better looking down there nose. but we know they are weak of mind and scared of dieing. you cant live scared of dieing or youll never live.

  • @pyromen321 They're hedging their bets.

  • @pyromen321 There I must digress. I mean, I am not generalizing and don't know the exact number but there's some of us theists who don't act nicely simply expecting a reward. I'm agnostic and extremely heretic, so I believe that if there is some kind of reward in the afterlife, it's based on your intentions rather than in your actions. And I don't understand how people can expect a benevolent god to reward belief.

P.S. As always, a nice video from Ricky.

  • @pyromen321 humans are essentially selfish anyway; though I do agree that theists are self-riteous

  • @pyromen321 Fair point, but you could say you are being selfish for doing things because it makes you feel good

  • foxnews(.)com/opinion/2011/07/27/does-cross-belong-at-11-memorial-site Vote!

  • you shouldn't base your beliefs on something your older brother said when you were 8, look around you, look at yourself and your life, the holy spirit will speak to you, don't ignore his voice!

  • @Mjsfamous If you hear voices in your head then you're considered mad.

  • @Tomst7 LOL! Nice .......but remember every time you think, you are hearing your thoughts in your mind, in order to act. You probably just did it.

  • @Mjsfamous see a doctor

  • @NobodyLikesPaul >>>>>>>don't give up the fight....but then again you are an atheist, it's hard for you to "believe" in yourself ........hahahahahahaha

  • @Mjsfamous dont give up what fight? believe in myself to do what? wtf are you speaking about seriously? you need to be sectioned you deluded schizo. in a few generations people like you will be rare, atheists are already taking over the world, umad?

  • @NobodyLikesPaul >>>>>>C'mon lets be real for a sec..........America not believing in God?............you must be a communist too..........smh.......you'll eventually die off.....God will remain weather you like it or not.....sorry to be so harsh....but you sound so dumb! smh

  • @Mjsfamous we'll eventually die off? Lol, look at the statistics, the numbers of atheists are rising faster than any religion, when we die off the generation under us will be a higher percentage atheist,

just face it..... it is YOU who is dying off, in 50 years the "Nation under God" slogan will be struck off under the conditions "
