but you have to remember the contextVig had just produced Nevermind also Vig produced Gish before that and Vig lead those recordings tooif you read interviews from Corgan about the Gish experience he will flat out tell you that prior to that experience he only had spend 6 hours in the studio and then with the Gish recordings spending 12 hours a dayi don't think the pumpkins would have been AS successful without Vighe captured what they put out

I mean, billy has the talent to lead the band and dunno but Jimmy Chamberlin could have played drums way better than butch in garbage

2 main things on siamese dream (1 of them you should know from watching this video):

1) Big Muff for the guitars

2) Mutron Biphase (they run everything through it. that's probably where you get the cutting sound from,combined with the big muff)
