Mulholland Dr is about broken dreams & unfulfilled love, this marvelous moment at Club Silencio features a singer whose rendition of "Crying" spells the end of a woman's fantasy, the two women even begin weeping and clutch each other's hand knowing the dream is over
Oh yeah did anyone else happen to catch this exact version and singer of this song play in the final scene in the third season finale of "Prison Break" I mean I thought it was emotional here, but if you watched PB you would see how it fits perfectly given what happens in that final scene. I remember watchig it and i thought "Hey that's familiar, oh shot Mulholland DR Silencio!"
Wow I have seen this movie a few times and this scene still gets to me!. For the longest time I had know this was a spanish opera like version of Roy Orbisons' "Crying". I don't know the name of the singer but her voice is powerful and really brings out the emotion of the song and the scene.
What passion! It is no wonder the Spanish almost conquered the world! I don't mean to change tracks from such beauty, but, please, log on to "merlin y pablo" You Tube...It will blow your mind.
It is absolutely incredible that a human being has such a voice, with so much power, quality and precision. I am astounded!!! This is full of emotions. First class in every respect.
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was captured on film. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is currently parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything...I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG contains the peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers" (use search words "Sam Zurick" & "BLOG"). THANKS!!
For people who think it's boring and dragging, the lyrics of the song relate to the story and the two girls watching. It's a key part of the story. The song - and the performance - are there for a reason. David Lynch didn't put the song in to bring trhe movie to a halt, he put it in to make a statement, especially about TALENT. The singer represents a girl who was murdered...who has TALENT. This scene is a dream, not real.
@JohnWesleyDowney No the song is to tell the viewer that even though you're seeing something and it looks real, doesn't mean it's real. As in the dream that's just happened. "silencio".
@frostjana Beautiful, if you're a hardcore masochist. I find it extremely tedious to listen to. It's almost as if it's put in there to punish the viewer.
Oh, she's good, all right. But it just drags on and on, and on and on and on... about three words per minute.
so powerful, brings tears to my eyes.

As a bit singer myself, I can say (in my personal opinion), she has the best vocal and is the best performer in the world.
I want her to become famous. She deserved it.

On of the most disturbing scenes I have ever seen. Lynch`s sheer genius!

It's so disturbing when the song continues despite the fact that the singer has passed out. David Lynch is a fucking genius
