Hitting high notes is not the measurement of good singer, it is the way you impress with full of emotion in every words of the song. But if you insist hitting high notes, Charice is uncoparable!God bless to all!

Lady Majida el Roumi is a diva in her own right. She has a soprano operatic voice and has been singing since the late 60s. Here she is singing her own interpretation of Adagio. She wasn't trying to be Lara Fabian.

She's a soprano, she can hit much higher than that, but it's a very long live concert and most of her songs are very demanding vocally.

Majida's voice is pretty, has enough power to pull off a ballad, and has a high enough range to sing Opera properly. While Lara Fabian is just a shadow of Celine Dion. @noel9861 As a musician I've heard this song a bazillion times... while Lara's version is beautiful and skillful, nothing compares to the passionate manner in which Majida el Roumi's voice 'cries' the sentiment of this piece. Nothing can stand to the beautiful drama of Arabic lyrics.

Majida's interpretation impressed me most. Lara's, much much less. Also, the Arab text translated in English has a deeper sense. Majida is unique! She is the top. Best Adagio ever.

I think the subtitles are excellent--and I speak Arabic! I love seeing the translation as some things simply don't transfer well---but you did a great job with this and as a result I was able to share my favorite Majida song with non-Arabic speaking friends. Great job...
