Something's just GOT to change in the music scene. Rap and cheesysynth pop were never great to begin with, but they are definitely getting putrid and stale by now.

The start of this song sounds like Led Zeppelin's 'Thank You' of LZ II. Whats lets me down about Chickenfoot is they don't use Michael Anthony's backing vocals at the right time. Its as if Sam insists that Mike's voice should be in virtually every verse/chorus/bridge etc just to prove a point to Van Halen or something else. Say what you want about Van Halen but at least they always made the right musical decision for each 'song'. Thats what separates Van Halen from the rest.

Ha Ha Sammy's stream-of-consciousness way of making up lyrics (he just sings along with the band in the studio) yields some pretty hilarious/awful streams of cliches. But rock and roll ain't deep -- and trying to write "meaningful" lyrics for it has yielded piles and piles of pretentious crap. So he keeps is simple, like AC/DC does. I'm OK with that, if it ROCKS. This band is everything i want in a Van Hagar -- with a guitar player that kicks Eddies ass. So I say Oh. Yeah.
