Even in my grade cricket in Sydney, Ganguly is terribly hated among other indians. I can only explain this as anti-bengali sentiment. Thee is no reason to be nasty towards him and he did play good innings against good bowling attacks.

@maninder1231 don't make half baked conclusions. Agreed ganguly's record in tests was not all that great but he was an absolute legend in One dayer's. And for your information if he had not made that century against "minnow" Kenya India would have lost that super six game. As for records In australia remember the earlier tour to Australia when in the ODI's pakistan and aussies had full strength attacks and ganguly was the only indian batsman to score centuries against them.

did u forget brisbane 2003, whole team was struggling untill dada stepped in with a gutsy prformance to get 144 & that set the ball rolling as Team India fought back to win a historic test match.

What an innings this was !!!!! Dada was absolutely furious and was going to do EVERYTHING to win this game. The moment which sums up how badly he wanted to win was when Sehwag refused to run and Dada went nuts, screaming his lungs off at him. Tremendous innings. Absolutely raped Flintoff too, that poor little nancy boy.
