I have this program on a boot Cd and i puted it in my Imac , i forgot to eject the cd now i cannt access my windows or mac os , cuz before the loading it boots the cd and there is no exit option or something only reboot but i get this shit again ... what can i do ? it load automatically the Cd with this program how can i go to next stap of boot or eject the cd ?

I keep trying to boot up and install vista to at least do a clean install and reinstall the drivers but it won't let me. It won't even bring up the recovery partition option or system restore. Trying to test restore a backup, in VMware Player but all I seem to be getting is this error message;
"You must have administrator rights in order to access physical or logical drives"
A problem with VMware or should I be worried that my backup would be useless if I can't even access the drive its on? Guess I'll just have to see if the machine I'm backing up can read the usb backup drive

@123ramzan Naa, You will need to press F2, F6, F8, or F10 then go to repair computer, and select system restore and choose restore point, go back in time =P and finished :P

I'm Baffled! I used The UBCD with swissknife and Drive ImageXML to both partition my new HD and to create an image and restore it over to the new drive which says went well. Finally, I created the new disk ID within DriveImage to allow the new drive to boot on its own, rebooted taking the UBCD disk out, and...got a hal.dll missing or corrupt message! ughh! All I have is a WinXP OS disk, NOT a setup disk. I don't even think the image copied the MBR! How can I get a simple MBR into the new HD?

Hello I have a computer that is crashed and I can not access my windows xp. I can not reinstall xp with my original xp disk because it says I need to enable the HDD in the bios..Well the bios is password protected and I dont know the pass. So I tried the CMOS batter twice..once for 5mins and the next for 45mins with no avail. Could I use just the dos version of this then enter the dos command just as if you were to press CMD in run? I can remove the pass with dos...only if I can get in some way.

3) if you dont use a 3rd party antivirus/firewall/antispyware etc, download microsoft security essentials and do a thorough scan. Otherwise do a scan with your own software.
4) download ccleaner, clean the registry and delete temporary files. backup registry when prompted.
5) download defraggler and run it. it will take quite awhile.
6) if all else fails, reinstall the os.
ps- use firefox with adblock+ addon for better web safety

@brambodoodle: Did you accidentally download a virus? I've had BitTorrent for about 9 months now{about as old as this PC}, and it's NEVER f***ed my PC.............Just be careful next time, and scan as many downloads as you can{preferably ALL}, to be sure.
@marcusarelius23 this would help if you have any problems "accessing" your computer so probably not, what i reccomend you do is if you have another comp. use that to get an xp disk and try to repair windows, and then if thats still not working, use dban (read about it first it COMPLETELY wipes ur HDD) then re-install xp i hope this helps
@marcusarelius23 that happened with an update it said on the newspaper but yes i am sure this would work just make sure it is a cd-r or cd-rw dvds dont work as it says on the disc drive
@marcusarelius23 The GX280 are known for have the "caps" go bad on the mobo. Try swapping out the memory stick, then check the voltages on the power supply.

You have to go into your BIOS and tell it to boot from the CD Drive, by the disk being bootable it will automatically recognize it. It's different on most computers depending on the vendor but when you first start it up it should give the the option to either enter setup or the BIOS

hay i have a acer aspire one ssd 8gb netbook the harddrive stoped working some time ago i've tryed ppartitioning it but i get errors and have also tryed using the acer aspire recovory disk and that hasent worked ether do u think one of these boot disks may work ??

@123ramzan Naa, You will need to press F2, F6, F8, or F10 then go to repair computer, and select system restore and choose restore point, go back in time =P and finished :P

I need help I downloaded it restated my comp when I started it up the ultimate boot menu came when 2 wiping tools deleted my hard drive with nuke and boost completed restated now I can't go any further:( I can't go into windows when I remove cd n start up it says cd can not be found otherwise comes up 2 the menu again I can't even go into safe mode help plzz

I'm Baffled! I used The UBCD with swissknife and Drive ImageXML to both partition my new HD and to create an image and restore it over to the new drive which says went well. Finally, I created the new disk ID within DriveImage to allow the new drive to boot on its own, rebooted taking the UBCD disk out, and...got a hal.dll missing or corrupt message! ughh! All I have is a WinXP OS disk, NOT a setup disk. I don't even think the image copied the MBR! How can I get a simple MBR into the new HD?

I have a question if anyone can help. I hve a windows 7 hp celeron latptop. The problem ihave is that I can't reach the login. The screen always says that windows 7 failed to start. And gives methe options of going into repair mode or start normally. Either one of those leads only to command prompt. Even when I press f8 while comp starts up and go to safe mode , it leads me to comm.prmpt. If any can please tell me if they might know what it is that would be great..thanks..

Hi I just left a comment just a little ago..but I did the dos version and it is exactly what I need....Only one problem...when the prompt comes up I cant use my arrow keys maneuver the list. I did somehow get into the BIOS section and I did see WipeCMOS...Thats what I need...I have a password that is stopping me from entering the bios...and the CMOS battery removal trick is not working...I am trying to do this on a older laptop...HP pavilion ze4500 , Can someone help?

Hello I have a computer that is crashed and I can not access my windows xp. I can not reinstall xp with my original xp disk because it says I need to enable the HDD in the bios..Well the bios is password protected and I dont know the pass. So I tried the CMOS batter twice..once for 5mins and the next for 45mins with no avail. Could I use just the dos version of this then enter the dos command just as if you were to press CMD in run? I can remove the pass with dos...only if I can get in some way.

what if the virus "black in the whitehouse" was actully real? apperently, its a fake, but if there was a virus to deleat the Zero Sector, that would be awesome. Too bad that the Zero Sector that contains a computers BIOS is totaly seprate from the hardrives...
Without BIOS u cant re-format ur computer, or recover ur system. Gratz, win32 error

ok so i have downloaded sooo much shit in my laptop,songs movies stuff to do with music GBA emulators and games idk ive downloaded alot of stuff.
and everyday my lap top shuts off without warning and sometimes i have to take out the battery to start it up again. im sure it has to do with the shit ive downloaded cause it wasnt like that until i started downloadin stuff,anyone know whats wrong with it or how i can fix it,and how much it would cost. please help.

1) back up important stuff
2) delete and uninstall crap not needed
3) if you dont use a 3rd party antivirus/firewall/antispyware etc, download microsoft security essentials and do a thorough scan. Otherwise do a scan with your own software.
4) download ccleaner, clean the registry and delete temporary files. backup registry when prompted.
5) download defraggler and run it. it will take quite awhile.
6) if all else fails, reinstall the os.
ps- use firefox with adblock+ addon for better web safety

@brambodoodle: Did you accidentally download a virus? I've had BitTorrent for about 9 months now{about as old as this PC}, and it's NEVER f***ed my PC.............Just be careful next time, and scan as many downloads as you can{preferably ALL}, to be sure.

Hi i have a problem......
My dads Dell GX280 has a Bsod which says at the top 'Pagefault in a non paged area'
I cant get in to the computer in any mode to see what the problem is. Would this boot cd help?
Also, we dont have a xp disc bcos the comp came pre-loaded with windows so would these tools still be of use?
This problem came after an update last tuesday. Within the updates was KB977165 which ive seen online has caused many problems for lots of people.
Please can you help me?

@marcusarelius23 this would help if you have any problems "accessing" your computer so probably not, what i reccomend you do is if you have another comp. use that to get an xp disk and try to repair windows, and then if thats still not working, use dban (read about it first it COMPLETELY wipes ur HDD) then re-install xp i hope this helps

@marcusarelius23 Look up "Ubuntu" and burn it. Then boot to the CD and install it.
Now your computer will work much better, No more BSOD!

@marcusarelius23 The GX280 are known for have the "caps" go bad on the mobo. Try swapping out the memory stick, then check the voltages on the power supply.

You have to go into your BIOS and tell it to boot from the CD Drive, by the disk being bootable it will automatically recognize it. It's different on most computers depending on the vendor but when you first start it up it should give the the option to either enter setup or the BIOS

go to BIOS,and go to boot,make it CD-ROM to be first,and it will start,the new version of the windows (2000,XP,Vista,7,8) make you BIOS to hard disk to be first,to go to BIOS,press delete,when you computer is loading (before windows logo come )

put the disk on your disk drive and then select it from the boot menu.....[ESC] on startup...thats for mine
