  • I think that the song goes with the clip great. the french rev , system failure , failure of gov see through flames see that the people can stop corrupt gov. tho some parts the song and the clip didn't go together at all so it could go either way.

  • Great song. Unfortunately I feel that the dog is a Cane Corso and it is depicted totally wrong. This acient dog is a beautiful and very loyal companion. This saddens me deeply.

  • one of those clips you won't forget. i kinda wish i hadn't watched it

  • Fuckin awesome. The beauty of the song matched by the darkness of the video, it's great! Possible idea though, maybe instead of having the shapes montage during the breakdown you could show real-life video's of actual modern day darkness such as war, poverty, oil spills, shit like that to kind of show how human's haven't changed up since the old days, Fucking crazy video though your art is very dark but has style and purpose so It doesn't feel like your doing violence for the fun of it. Make more.

  • wow, 50,000 views, thank you so much for all of the positive comments everyone! :) Should I do another video?

  • @MonarchyFilms Yes you should! This was very enjoyable. Fears of the dark was good, lots of good shorts.

  • impresionante..es realmente impactante y genial

  • люблю их музыку

  • i think the video conveys a mood. that's all that matters. then again im just a proletarian.

  • what a beautiful video!

  • As soon as this video came out, I've watched and loved it. Then forgot completly about it, until this week. Like a nightmare that would come back to haunt.

And I still love it. Great editing :)

  • No offense, but in my opinion the clip does not suit the song at all. The song composes a beautiful piece of imagery that is ruined by the unncessarily dark and violent film. I don't even know why someone made this film or with what purpose. The symbolism is incredibly cliche and proletarian. But then again, that is just my opinion.

  • @underground235 Thanks for the feedback. Just out of curiosity, had you been given the chance to edit a music video for this song, what movie would you use footage from?

  • @MonarchyFilms Interesting question, in all honesty I really love the song with the heligoland album painting of the two figures holding hands, I don't feel that video is the correct medium in this case.

  • @MonarchyFilms One day I was about to mow my lawn and put this song on. I looked up and was transfixed on the clouds. They were morphing, erupting, and flowing in such a beautiful way. It really went well with the song. I stared at the clouds for the whole song. Maybe a video with these clouds erupting into a storm when the song picks up and the sun finally pouring out and plants coming out of the ground at the end. Just an idea :-)

  • @MonarchyFilms I think the clip is good, it fits the dark and somber tone of the song.

  • Silverstone F1 GP :D

  • I actually like this music video more than the original, wich is saying something!

The darker feeling of the dissonant music is brilliantly captured, good! :)

  • new films in the works?

  • melancholic

  • Impressive.

  • Epic Win

  • In deepest hollow of our minds A system failure left behind And their necks crane As they turn to pray for rain And their necks crane Dull residue of what once was A shattered cloud of swirling doves And their eyes change As they learn to see through flames And their necks crane As they turn to pray for rain And their eyes change As they learn to see through flames And their necks crane As they turn to pray for rain
  • Drops on rocks fall fast and fleeting Hearts and wings commence to beating Woods unseen with all believing Vision walls fall all receding Vision walls fall all receding Drops on rocks come fast and fleeting Rhythm laws unleash their meaning Usher us into the dreaming Vision walls fall all receding Hearts and wings commence to beating All unending all completing Vision walls fall fast and fleeting
  • Vision walls fall all revealing Vision walls fall all revealing Vision walls fall all revealing Vision walls fall all revealing In deepest hollow of our minds A system failure left behind Dull residue of what once was A shattered cloud of swirling doves And their eyes changed As they learned to see through flames And their necks craned As they prayed for rain
  • Amazing video, but that look on the Quaker Oats man face @ 2: 10...yeah, that's probably gonna show up in a nightmare somewhere.

  • magic melancholy!! great!

  • This is fucking great.

  • great images, now i'm interested in the film, great song, and great video.

congrats, you did a great (it seems is the only world i can say now) job (=

  • the best in that film was the monologue sequences in between the shorts, really.

  • Just add one more "congratulations" to the editor. Great video.

  • Loool this was the first video I saw of this song and I thought this was the original, because it totally suits this vid man.

  • Dude...

  • For a fan video, this is extremely impressive. Video compliments the song incredibly well. AMAZING!

  • I too, was impressed with your work.

  • This is an amazing compilation; it takes a truly great editor to leave the original material without the use of special effects. The whole thing flowed very smoothly and the tone of the song fit PERFECTLY. If we still had the star system on YT, I'd gave you five of 'em. ;)

  • Very nice. :) What an evil bastard that man was, but he had a horrific death...what's his story from the French film? Oh, and I liked the patterns at the end. :)

  • @Bozonie The movie is actually four or five different short films, all with unique styles. This specific 'Dog Man' section is laid out into pieces, shown before and after the main short films. If you want to know more about this masterpiece, check out the imdb page.

  • @MonarchyFilms OK, can you give me a link?

  • @Bozonie Youtube won't let me post links, so go to:

imdb.com, then search 'Fear(s) of the Dark', it'll come up as 'Peur(s) du noir'.

  • @MonarchyFilms OK, thanks, I will check it out. :)

  • @MonarchyFilms Thanks mate! +1 for you:)

  • awesome vid. great job

  • Really nice freaked out video, fits the music perfectly

  • Amazing transition\Interpertation this video moves smoothly with the music, great job :)

  • I think a poodle would better suit this guy...

  • Wow, this is awesome. You did an amazing job. This fits the song so well.

  • if this was the official video for this song i'd still be incredibly impressed. this is awesome. not too sure about the weird shape bit but then im not too sure about that part in the song. anyway, nice one!

  • @odogc Thanks! And yeah that part with the shapes had to be used to fill in that part of the song, I had nothing else really to work with because I already used up the rest of the clips of the old man and his dogs. :)

  • @odogc: the shapes are fine..

    @MonarchyFilms: good vid..

  • the video suits the song perfectly, thanks for editing !

  • the madness must be something like this... impressionant song and video

  • Really nice vid!

  • I'm so inlove with this band and their lyrics

    especially the Heligoland's songs :-)
