this Doc was a little disappointing . It felt like it needed to be longer and have more footage from the people that were successes talk. They would say some gold mines of information and then they would cut them off after one sentence and were back to the aspiring writers. I liked seeing the other writers struggle , because it showed you that part of the biz where you start, and how they can fail, but it needed more insight from the pros because they told you much more about the business.
Actually she was a very demand "script doctor", she wrote the dialogue for julia roberts role as tinker bell,, leatheal weapon rene russo dialogue, my girl 2, sister act, weeding singer, etc. She's more successful then you know
First, I must say to you this: You are a hater. If you are going to dog on Carrie Fisher, why watch her footage at all? You say you like her, but your comment speaks otherwise.
Second: She became an icon at age 19. What the fuck did YOU accomplish in your teen years?
Third: Most of her books have been best sellers. How many best sellers do YOU have? NONE!!
Fourth: She's had a wall of shit fall on her and she manages to be ever-gracious and eternally witty.
@west7productions Being in B movies as you call it maybe has to with the fact she had fame at 19, never got ridd of the Leia syndrom again and daughter of very famous parents, does not always work in your advantage. But if George Lucus ask her to help her write young Indiana Jones and help with the SW prequals, yep, guess she,s overrated as a script writer then , ???
@west7productions Guess only at he first part, but George Lucas doesn,t hire someone out of pity etc, he get,s the best because he can affort it;-) So you can say she found her real tallent. That,s my point;-)
Everything is in three acts, even TV scripts. It may not say it at the top of the page, but you should think of your script in three parts leading toward a climax. It's just the natural order. Even a television season can be divided up into three acts - any form of drama is and can.
there is any subtitles for this doc?

This comment has received too many negative votes show
I like her , but she is ego inflated.
Not a hugely successful writer.
Her books are just okay.
She is not an incredibly skilled actress. If she was she wouldnt have only been in mostly B movies.
Loved her in the Burbs, though.
Have no clue how she ever became some an authority on screenwriting/.

Or maybe I am simply saying she has no business being a directing judge on tv.

She is awesome. A great writer and funny too. Plus I think she's hotter than when she played that princess chick.

I wish there weren't, but there be such a thing, it's called the "3-act structure."
