Mia is the best female punk vocalist ever, rip girl. As for the people being disrespectful on here, this is the reason i am almost secretive of my love for The Gits. I love their music and I do not even think of Mia's death when I listen to them but alot of people have a morbid facination with her and I take great exception to that. When people ask me who my favorite band of all time is I say "i have a lot of favorite bands" But my one and only true love of bands is reserved 4 The Gits!

Heard of this band back in the day but never actually HEARD them. I loved grunge/punk as a college/high school kid (still do). Tragic story all around. The heroin was so prevalent, it was almost a cliche. Did they ever catch the murderer? I'll check on that since I'm sure that info is out there. X was my favorite band back in the day, and certainly X is one of the top 5 bands of all time, although that is purely subjective. Thanks for the post.

Seeing a band once clearly doesn't make someone an expert on the band. Nor does pointing out the errors signify that someone has a "blind allegiance" to a band...
