i know what you mean, but thats the thing about country ish progressions they sound close. Everything C - Am - F is going to sound close. Some could argue that America is ripping Bob Dylan off there? The Beatles made that Country Western style pretty popular in pop rock music.. i really think this Ambulence song sounds like a Paul song from the White Album period, with John lyrics from the White Album period..

As far as bands i would recommend, bands as far as my opinion is concerened, that are GOOD bands? Well recently i've been into groups like; The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Red Hot Chili Peppers, as far as famous groups.
