  • Yes, I've checked the Times for Tuesday 18th June 1991, and it has the main stories from the News at Ten you've uploaded here.

You wouldn't have imagined back then, would you, that Glastonbury would eventually be thoroughly accepted by Debrett's?

  • Thanks for the correct date - and the excellent comments!

  • I'm afraid you've given the wrong date again :(

A morning paper would have the same stories as in the *previous* night's News at Ten - as I said, this is Monday 17th June 1991 because Wednesday is the day *after* tomorrow.

  • Amended it again. Third time lucky, hopefully!

  • That was the coldest June in the period from 1973 to the present, and it might never be surpassed on that, er, front.

Bath "Britain's second shopping city"? Was it ever? Surely only a certain upmarket sort of shopping, and even that would have been long overtaken now that Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds etc. have reinvented themselves. That bloke looks very young to be a Cyril.

Oh, and I think this is all actually Monday 17th June 1991, because Wednesday (the 19th) is the day after tomorrow.
