Strafe may seem underpowered now, but think about this:

Shermans in this game take at least 4 (usually more) shots from a Panzerschreck, and definitely more than 3 shots from a Panther to destroy... In reality, Shermans would burst into flames if they took 1 shot from any of those things.

They had to do some things like this, because otherwise, the game would be even more imbalanced.

Wow, four Volks squads and a Puma, nice the other guy, I'd have been turning the air blue with shame had that happened to me.

Most I ever got from a strafing run was a pioneer with flamethrower, an MG42 that had been a pain in my ass for a while, two grenadier squads and a sniper I hadn't realised was there.

Strafing run is better against PE troops and vehicles, for some reason they're more susceptible to them than the Wehrmacht.

Are you high? a 50 cal weapon could easily penetrate an APC. They only have enough armour to prevent small arms (C-7s etc.) from penetrating the armour.

actually, the most a 50 cal can penetrate at a 20* slope is 14mm, after that it goes way downhill. The frontal armor of a Puma is 15 mm.

its "company of heroes", for PC-only (as far as i know), and is just about the BEST RTS you will ever play.

if you played "warhammer 40,000 - dawn of war", then you will recognise this as a WWII version of that game, only much better. by the same dev team, and using the same graphics engine as DOW2, this is MY personal fave stragey of all time.

there is also an expansion (i dont know if that is what is in this vid, actually), called "opposing fronts".

i recommend the original, but not the other

yeah, but if you ask any do-gooding, pc-mad, "war is NEVER the answer" fool, then it is safe to say that OUR troops ignore those tags, and just fire randomly into the mass of bodies around them. as long as they get kills, these people think, then they are happy (and probably well rewarded for their bravery).
