Yuri Lowenthal - Luke & Asch

I'm so use to hearing Yuri as Troy Baker but now that I think about it I guess Yuri Lowenthal would have been good as well. I loved Luke and Asch's voices very much. :)

When I first heard of Vesperia, I looked at the characters and I see Yuri Lowell. So I look at the VA for Yuri and I'm like, "I THOUGHT YURI LOWENTHAL WAS GOING TO VOICE-- GAHHAHA" XD

did tehy kick Yuri Lowenthal off because of Yuri Lowel? or was it because they did'nt want the fans to have similarities between Luke and Yuri? cause Jhonny Young Bosh (or something) did Cress Albane from ToP OVA, Guy Cecil from ToA, Emil and Ratatosk from ToS2 and probably some others, if Yuri was suposed to do Yuri's voice i think i'd like ToV even more o3o

It was because it'd be too similar to Luke and Asch and because he had a main character role already, it'll be awhile before he gets a lead role in a Tales game.

@inoluvshikamaru they kicked him off because they didn't want similarities between the main characters for two straight games. if the roles were scattered (like Jhonny young Bosch's) then there would be no problem, but if the main character had the same voice, people would think the company was relying too much on the same voice actor.

Yuri Lowenthal is an awesome voice actor, but I am SO glad that Troy Baker got the part. He just completely owned that character -- he even did better than the Seiyuu -- AND THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING.

I would have loved to have Yuri Lowenthal play the main character again because he's so very good at his job, but I've heard good things about the voice cast for Tales of Vesperia. Besides, if Yuri says Troy Baker did a good job, then he probably did a good job.

As for the voice acting in Vesperia, I'm a good ways in and I think all of it is either good or passing, no bad ones. Troy Baker does a very good job with Yuri.

Yuri is a common Japanese name but the last name they may or may have not gotten from Lowenthal. That is, the Japanese may have or may not have named after him.
