This, as it says is a dichromated gel hologram, I've made lots of them, this is a good example. The gel is a fish/animal protein mixed with dichromate and sometimes other sensitizers. The best ones sadly, take LOTS of blue freq. laser to record, but the results speak for themselves. And the image did not disappear as he says, the gel merely absorbed moisture and that made it skew to a red/infra red playback frequency... and so, is no longer visible. If he uses a hair dryer, it'll reappear.
@TheSwLProduction It's a special film, very exclusive in the holography business. It's transparent appearance make it a lot more fancy. Attracting a lot of hobbyists and hologram enthusiasts.
I'm waiting for the day they use this technology to mass produce micro disks. If you were to punch out a quarter sized disk from the film, would it retain the image?
It in most of credit card logos, I actually seen 8x11" size hologram with lion head protruded in front of the picture, very strange, and it kind of expensive, you actually can produce it, just search web sites for instructions.
a hologram is the pattern produced on a photosensitive medium that has been exposed by holography and then photographically developed so this would be considered as such
It is a hologram you idiot. Those have been around for decades. There made with a proses that involves burning an image at different angles with a laser onto a special material.

People seem to find it hard to accept
holography in their lives. Don't ask me why
it's just physics -_-

rhelbren 1 year ago
@rhelbren he used a lazer, watch a video about scrach holograms and it's easier to understand.
RectumPilum 1 year ago
@RectumPilum I don't see a lazor so it must be fake, like made with a computer
rhelbren 1 year ago 2
@rhelbren he uses a lazor to make it, to show it all you need is a regular light. In this case he uses green light to add a dramatic effect.

its not a hologram, its a reflection on the plastic from a small tv or dvd
samofilm 3 years ago
If it's a reflection, explain how you're able to see 'round' the image when it's tilted, genius!?
