Whoever asked the last question is an idiot. What are the inputs to photosynthesis? CO2, Water, Light. Remember photosynthesis is light reactions plus the calvin cycle. What are the inputs for light reactions? Water and light! What is the output of light reactions? O2! What is the input to the calvin cycle? CO2! What is the output of the calvin cycle? Carbohydrates/sugars [CH2O]!
@page2340 Its a lot easier to put co2 into the atmosphere then to take it out, so even though that would not essentially be a possible outcome, it would be a lot easier to prevent.
Love IT!!! California needs to invest more in Green Tech!!! Prop 23 is down in the polls, but the Yes on 23 campaign just got a new influx of hot, anonymous cash, so we'll need to fend them off in the home stretch to Election Day.
Hit me back if you'd like to talk Prop 23. We're coming out with a bunch of great No on Prop 23 videos soon!
I was very impressed with your knowledge in this area. I have been studying photobioreactors for a year and have only recently discovered information you reported. Have you had any involvement in the algae industry since this project?
So what if you used the algae to clean waste water, unsure just asking?

quick question... if algae consumes more C02 then it emits one day in the future wouldn't we be facing global cooling instead of warming?

this was very informative!
I wanted to ask you if I may be able to use some of your information for my 3rd year Tech report for Environmental Engineering?
