usually, in TnS songs, the backing vocals are done in the opposite scale of notes to the main vocals, so if song is in higher notes, the backing vocals are lower, and vice versa. i love how broad their vocal ranges are, so both can do high and low notes well

I'm sorry, these two don't sound very good. Good lyrics though- maybe thats what they should stick with lol. The twin sister gimmick has worn off and all that's left is the obvious lack of musical talent (voice)!
@xployt1 wow...they have amazing voices and apparently you don't know one when you hear one. and about them sucking b/c of their record sales...that doesn't mean crap. tegan and sara are an indie band, not mainstream..so they won't sell millions of records like your precious lady gaga or katy perry. and the fact that they still have a record contract and a big fan base after 10 years must mean they're pretty talented.
