Hey Guys, i saw a lot of Videos of PGI where is it ? City ? And When is it ? Sry for my English iam from germany and PGI looks very great probatly i want to visit it. So tell me where and when is it ?

@Bitburger pgi occurs in a different city every year and the conventions are in August. PGI is in Fargo this year and will be in Indiana the following year.

a rocket motor is just black powder rite? but diffrent ratios etc

No, this is whistle fuel mix we made on site.

oxidizer is kclo4 .. or "perc". fuel was a pain reliever. :)

well, not really. bp motors are blackpowder, but whistle rockets don't have any carbon, potasium nitrate or sulfer in them. You will find hybrid rockets, where people add some whistle mix to the bp to get mor oomph, or when they press the rocket they'll start with couple pressing of whistle and end with bp.

took around 3 seconds after the rocket blew till the sound was heard.

distance = v • t = 345 m/s • 3 s = 1035 m

right as i figured it out i scrolled down to find that it had already been done

Damn 3 1/2 seconds from the flash to the sound of the report. That's almost 3/4 of a mile high!
