Hi, I'm trying to do the same plane. What type of servos did you use with this speed? Congratulation...this model with this setup must be amazing! (Sorry for my poor english), Bye.
@happyflyingkid yes, they can. usually on my lower C packs. The higher the C packs you use, the longer they will last(usually) and the less puffed they will get after flights.
@happyflyingkid Hey. Thanks much. I am unsure of the weight, and sadly after probably about 100 flights I have damaged it beyond flight. Only body damage, all hardware/electronics good. I might rebuid though next season. Batteries used were from hobbyking, they were turnigy brand I think and were 4S 1300mAh and 1500mAh 20C or 30C packs.
Wooooooosh!!!!! That was as my E-flite F-86 sabre, the stock won't go that fast so I put in a larger battery, a 5 S 5000 mah battery and put in lighter servos. Fastet thing ever seen but not know your L-39 is fast! You should be carefully at that speed it real easy to crash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@flyingchimp99 hehe, thanks! F-86 is nice jet too, 5 cell should be pretty quick! It is easy to crash some planes, but this jet is actually very very stable and easy to fly, at least for me. In the next flight(didn't get on cam) I was doing low passes about 10inches from the ground at full speed. Everyone at field was like 'wow that's low'. ;p
nice looking jet, pretty fast as well. I will have the 90mm Blue Angels Hornet video on my channel by this week end, says it can go over 130 we shall see hahaha stay tuned :) Happy Flying.
@shoado thanks. And awesome you got the 90mm jet... sad though cus you probably got from NP or BH... or HK... I got the AMX jet from BH, when I purchased I believe the website said it will go 100mph... it goes about 80mph... they always lie about every little detail :(
@YourFriendlyMe i am using a very small battery, you can use up to a 1800mah and get about 4mins with high throttle. I use a lot of full throttle and get 2.5mins - but I like this jet flying fast. It flies slow great as well though, it is actually recommended to use a smaller motor/fan and a 3cell! I put in the larger fan, and a 4cell. With stock setup, u'd probably get 7minutes flight.
Damn 2.5 minute flight time? Sounds crappy, but I know nothing about jets

@litttleb78 I used either parkzone sv80's or e-flite ds75h servos. Any servos around 9 grams will work fine in this jet.
