  • best option to hide my weed!

  • Until robbers see these videos all that they think it is is a form of tear gas fog which would be a good ideal. Just don't accidentally trip the system.

  • ha i turned my volume off cause i was listening to music so it looked like a party.

  • How does the smoke affect the products in the warehouse? Cool idea, I've never seen anything like it!

  • @mar504

The smoke is guaranteed non contaminating and non damaging. This is down to precision machined steel heater blocks that act as the heat exchanger for the smoke simulant fluid.

    Hope this helps.

  • If someone was injured if one of these went off (intentional or not) the owner of the premises would be liable.. If they somehow died, well that's manslaughter! The is a stupid system... what's wrong with smartwater??

  • @stuartz1985 Thank you for pointing out the fact that in over 40 years of fitting these systems that has never happened and is unlikely to due to the way the overall individual systems are designed.

The idea is that a perpetrator is driven back the way they came. You never aim to trap someone in the premises.

This is overwhelmingly what happens time and time again.

What's wrong with smartwater - nothing, it's a great detection method for the Police. It does rely on goods being recovered.

  • @stuartz1985 It's a security device dumb fuck, if it goes off then it means some one is braking in. So if they die, sorida their fault.

  • Yeah, give 'em some smokey cover so they can sneak out. That'll do

  • @RyuRiku Getting the intruders out of the building is the objective. When confronted by security fog, experience dictates that the bad guy's initial and over-riding reaction is to run away, it's designed to be an unpleasant experience, not something you'd want to hang about in.

  • @ConceptSmokeScreen ok, that makes sense. Still I don't really believe in it

  • 30 seconds sounds like a lot... and if the burglar doesn't make it out in 30 seconds there are flashing lights showing him the way in the fog :)

  • @GTR0134 When you drive into thick fog in your car, if you turn on the vehicles high beam, the light bounces off the smoke back into your face, making the fog more difficult to see through.

The same effect occurs with security fog. If a high intensity strobe is fired into the fog, the effect is made worse. This is something that an average camera cannot show as the flash rate of the strobes is typically faster than the frame rate the camera is capable of capturing.

  • @ConceptSmokeScreen

I was just kidding. I thought you can't see the strob light at all thru the fog at all. And 30 seconds are actually not that much because the smoke probably scares burglars so they run away immediately leaving everything behind.

  • I wonder how they would obtain usable security footage...

  • @disneya380

The four break-ins that occurred before this installation produced footage that simply showed the site being burgled by masked men. From a burglary point of view, CCTV rarely shows anything different.

Employed as a management tool, CCTV is exceptional, as a deterrent to burglary, it's value is limited if it is not monitored 24 hours a day.

  • What is the hang time for the fog screen in an enclosed area?

  • The level of persistency in an enclosed area would be about an hour.

  • whats something like this cost?

  • Costing is a fairly complex procedure and depends on a lot of factors - as a ballpark figure single machines start at around the £1,000 mark

  • more directional than i thought!

  • if i was a burgler and got caught in the smoke, id start raving! lol

  • slow

  • what i don't understand is how can they warm up in seconds!!!??? smoke machines in clubs must warm up e. g. 10to 20 minutes!!! !

  • Our smoke screen generators are powered permanently after installation and they maintain the heater block at the correct temperature through thermostat control. The heater block itself is heavily insulated, using space-grade ceramics, to protect nearby electronics and maintain the temperature more easily. This way the generators are always ready to produce smoke, with a negligible re-heat time between activations.

  • WTF?! xD

  • Hell even if the smoke isn't instant, At 15 seconds in, for most undisciplined criminals,, the psyychological effect would be so shiocking that they would freeze for a couple of seconds to gather whats going on, and by then, running is probably the only sensible option!

    Nice system you got there!

  • wtf how much fluid do you use???

  • The Amount of fluid used is determined by the length of activation time. In this instance I believe the machines run for a minute, in the E series units they contain a 1 ltr bottle of fluid which will typically gives about 6 activations when set to activate for this time. Should the time setting be decreased the number of activations will increase.

  • is this really going to work... because it says it takes 30 seconds for it ground to disappear, yet i could easily run out of there in 20 seconds or less.. this seems like a waist of money. looks to me like i could easily get out of there.

  • Thousands of businesses across the UK and Europe use this system to protect their stock. I previous break-ins the warehouse has been emptied so running in and out in 20 seconds may get you a box but the overall loss of stock is a few hundred pounds where before it was hundreds of thousands of pounds. That said the way the system is installed the fog will have been deployed long before the intruder would have reached the stock area meaning zero visability and no stock loss.

  • Instead of smoke, why not sleeping gas? Everybody sleeps, nity nite! Even in airplanes, when hijacked the pilot push a button and everybody sleeps. There should be no gas masks anywhere in the passenger area. Only the secured cockpit have gas masks.

  • great..it will set of the smoke alarm and drown the criminals

  • Comment removed

  • i wish i had that security system in my car! i-d-k?

  • thats pretty cool but they should replace it with tear gas and workers can get face masks

  • pleasetell me price in email

i would need some of these

    Per unit?

  • I have an alarm both silent and with sound, which activate all 90 cameras and release the hounds to locate the robbers at which time the King Cobras are released to further defend the premises while the smoke screen is performing at top level and for the finale four Siberian Tigers are released to find and destroy.

I feel very safe in my 30 foot motor home with all of the above security levels in operation.

  • lol you just made my day with that comment

  • these things are not harmfull to any products ? And the goal is to confuse the thieves ?

  • Each generator is running heaters with a capacity of 2.8 kW

They do not have them on at all times, rather they are thermostat controlled and phase in and out of a heating cycle.

Over a period of time, this consumes the same amount of energy as 100W light bulb (approx).

  • how many wattts

  • paintball time!!!

  • wat is the price for al single unit?

  • What is the price for a single unit?

  • Replied in e-mail.

    Thanks for the interest.

  • Can these systems be operated remotely for example in personal attack alarms if a staff member activated the PA and a signal is sent to the ADPRO cctv system the ARC can viusualy verify a robbery then activate it using a imput? Can this be done?

  • Yes it can be done.

The systems take very simple triggers, and the ADPRO is capable of supplying them.

    Very easily achieved.

Also been done before a few times

  • can you put that in a house?

  • Yes you can, although the scale of this one is obviously a little larger than a house would need ;).

Typically the applications are commercial, but more and more residential properties use security smoke to defend garages, and points of access to the house.

Some people have used it to protect the corridor leading up to a panic room for instance.

  • What a great system. Every storage depot should have one. I'd like to see the lowlife thieves try and get around that.
