  • does anyone know the song at the begenning

  • "what are ya feeding this one, Mama Whitfield?"

  • he looks like drew brees

  • What an amazing life!

  • Simon, the man, who was the boy, who is supported by the team, Jennie Pippa Evelyn, all the National Team athletes coaches trainers partners sponsors, all prepping together to meeting the Olympic challenge head on. That is what you should see when watching this video. A very classy "nod" to Tim Don followed up with a clear statement that it isn't over until it is over in London 2012. This video will be on my playlist for a long, long time. Thanks Simon and Specialized.

  • play time is the most important part of the training =]

  • I think the child was crying at the end because Simon said that her bike wasn't aero enough...

  • Gotta love this guy! True olympic champion.

  • Day in the life of Jaroslav Kulhavy?

  • love the video, but clearly the math doesn't work...7 and a half k? you mean 750m...

  • @MercedeSChink 7500m?

  • @fenderkyle

even if he's training for full ironman, 7.5km or 7500m doesn't really sound right still...Mr. Whitfield! we need your response!

  • @MercedeSChink

l'm just busting balls my friend! all in good spirit! and yes, inquiring minds want to know!

  • @MercedeSChink I think he said 7.5 K ... considering the smallest loop they do in open water is 800m, it makes sense.

  • @15RedXIII

yea, just amazing! I actually picked up him saying 3 small 1 big, which should be at least 3500, wow... this vid is motivation for my training

  • @MercedeSChink Yeah this guy is a beast... I train for track only and I don't run sub 35min (well cross country races I'm talking about, on a flat track I'm not sure) for a 10k nor do I run as much volume as he does in training. What are you training for ?

  • @15RedXIII 35 for 10k is good! kudos dude...training olympic distance tri, but prepping for sprint class tri :)

  • The song 'Map & Lantern' now available:

    wilderling.bandcamp.com

  • I'd like to know the average speed of their bike ride, run, and swim.

  • @GlennGutube Don't know about the run & swim, but the average speed on the bike was 39.5 km/h.

  • Pretty nice life you have there brah..

  • first song?

  • I always find these videos inspiring. Gets me motivated to get off my duff! 50 miles on the MTB tomorrow...

  • "a language that know one else knows"

    till no haha

  • what song is this?

  • @yuxc shazam doesn't work on it :(((

  • @foxrider191 The song is Wilderling - Map & Lantern.

  • @brianpark4 Thank you so much !

  • How does he get the money

  • @TheBluewave09 He is a professional athlete he gets paid by his sponsors

  • would love to see Macca and Crowie's training days ...

  • Jesus. Would love to know what on earth he's eating all day to support that kind of a training program.

  • @bwlucas Steak ;)

  • @bwlucas Lots, lots, LOTS of clean carbs.. ;)

  • Top bloke!

  • so he goes out at 3, and is ready for supper at 5, and does a 35k run between - would love to be that fast

  • Awesome i really liked the part about beating Tim Don !

  • Awesome! It looks like the perfect training day :-)

  • He seems so happy!

  • what was the mile split

  • 15th....ye ye. hes the only one with a pretty normal workload that anyone could pretty much do...

  • how the hell do they do that every day.

  • Nice running pace!

  • For anyone into the music and wondering what it is, the band is called The Wilderling, an indie group from Simon's hometown of Kingston, Ontario (now living in Montreal), who were generous enough to let us use their tracks for the edit. Thanks, guys.

  • WOW!, did not expect to see my home town, and the neighborhood/street I lived on for several years to find it's way on youtube. exciting! Beacon hill park, Dallas Road, and a good chunk of Victoria is a dream to ride a bike around. Soooo scenic and nice, could ask for a better spot to ride a rode bike or a cruiser!

  • Good man, one of my favourite ITU athelete.

  • 7th!!

  • weirdest training eveeeer!!

  • WAIT! 2hour training on empty stomach?!?!

  • @israelpinedo he eats a little on the bike to keep energy level up for the run. morning runs are always good however, because you don't normally need to worry about fueling too much, your stomach has faster for 8 hours and running on that saved up energy over night is a great way to stay lean, keep the fat off, and be fast

  • His knees must hurt like crazy

  • Fuck...fourth

  • shit...third

  • damn...second

  • first
