Chris Bartram always tells me to look at the cue ball at impact on the break it allows you to focus more power in the shot but on all other shots be sure to look at the object ball at impact
i always look at the cue ball last, been playing pool for 15 years. i think once your cue is lined up with the shot, and you take few strokes it dont really matter which u look at last.
you forgot about looking at the pocket, i actualy think thats more important
if you know where your supposed to hit the cue ball, and your stroke is straight, then you should look at the pocket to make sure your on the right line
GREAT video. Although that works for Ze Kaiser, it'd make some people dizzy. I have heard it said by more than one source that Earl Strickland looks at the cue ball LAST< as in, on follow through. This has merit because all of the variation (assuming there's no earthquake moving the OB) is between the tip and the CB. And although this works well for some, nothing is the holy grail - you'll have to find your magical sequence.
But the graph shows that when your FINALLY hitting the ball the eye is on the object ball, but as you can see when the guy does his, he actually looked at his cue ball when he shot it. Or am i wrong? Anyways this was a very helpful video. THX ALOT!
nice post! I do have to say I had to develop some confidence before I was able to keep my eyes on the cueball instead of the objectball. Not an easy thing to learn... takes time.
thanks for this vid. you know most of this kinda came natural to me but still its very helpful in making sure i follow the correct proceedures in shot making.

@pajamaboy456 If you use the ghost ball method, looking at the pocket is unnecessary after you start lining your shot up.

that was a break shot, not really to accounted on, especcialy since Ralph Souquet looks at the cue ball last

Afaik Ralf Souquet is about the only pro who looks at the cueball last, so maybe not the best choice :-)
