Actually they don't wear the habits for attention at all. They wear the habits as part of their vows to God. It is an outer expression of their inner commitment to God.

The habit is a signed of humility, I know some seminarians are even embarrass to wear it so they wear the Roam collar instead of their religious habits.
It will be a good idea for you JP2gr8 to attend one of their Habit Taking Reception if not just rent the DVD on The Nun Story with Audrey Hepburn.

What does CFR stand for? (Conventual?) I have never seen any order of nuns without a veil. Love it! :-) Tell me where these nuns are!! Who are they?
