What an amazing heavy guitar sound! It makes want to practise more and more on guitar... I started practising on guitar a month ago because of videos like yours! Great job as always, Sebastian!

@GeorgiosZaimis Hey Georgios, thanks for your comment. So you are completely new to guitar? Or did you already play guitar at some earlier point in time? What kind of guitar did you get for the start?
@Asphyx123 Yep, completely new, never played before... I'm practicing now on my brother's ESP LTD M-50. Watching your videos is a great lesson for me about guitar's technique...
Great playing as usual. Just curious, how do you like the Jeff Waters V compared to other 6 string guitars you have or have played? I've been interested in his guitars for awhile but I do not have the chance to play one. Thanks.
@Lumdiyen I like it. It doesn't have the hottest pickups so you need to compensate that a little effects wise with some extra distortion/gain. But for a relatively cheap guitar this is a very well built guitar. String height was setup well and the neck feels fast.
@Lumdiyen I always prefer guitar with very good access to the high frets. The Jeff Water V isn't perfect in that regard, but still acceptable. Thus my preferred choice would be the ESP SV-2, but be careful with that one as there are different models on the market. There are some with really great high fret access (got one of those) and some with really bad access. No idea why there are different models. Another interesting but unpopular one (due to low availability) is the Caparison Orbit.
@Asphyx123 Thanks yet again. Not only are you a great player, you take the time to answer your fans/subs as well. That really sets you apart. I've seen your ESP V and it looks amazing. Just curious, plan on anymore Nevermore or Jeff Loomis covers soon? Loomis was the reason I picked up a guitar years and years ago, so I'm a bit of a fanboy.
Your a Monster on the guitar pal....and you also turn me on to some Killer Tunes Man....I'm always checking out your vids to see what guitar you'll be playing.....Take Care..
@Osyran Thanks, hmm I didn't realize I had videos without the horns =). There might be some though. Maybe when I made a stupid face at the same time and cut it out, haha.
@TheSuffocater Thanks Tobi. Das war glaube ich damals auch das erste Lied, daß ich von Cloudscape gehört hatte. Ich hör sonst eigentlich eher weniger Power Metal aber die Jungs sind echt gut.
Hey asphyx, how do you play so fast? is it just repetitive practicing or is there some scales im unaware of? and not just this song, but for most of your songs. Or is it that you have been playing for a long time? have you continually gotten better throughout the years? just wondering, because your videos always impress me :)
@Jmiller2224 I think it's a bit of everything. However I'm not really the kind of guy who likes playing scales for hours. I would rather pick a good song or solo and practice that as it is more fun for me. It took me long time to develop speed and still today (and after playing about 20 years) with some songs I start practicing at really slow speeds. I think the key is to always have a target and practice songs that are challenging to your current level.

@Jmiller2224 I found the best method to teach my students is with songs that they want to learn - no matter how fast. We work up to speed by working slow on open strings by just barely touching the string. It can take a lot of time (I know, I'm self taught and know nothing of actual theory), but with practice and repetition of the songs and excercises you choose to practice with anyone can play at speed. I too, have been playing for more than 20 years (rhythm only). Practices makes perfect! \m/_
@Osyran Totally agree. Best way to learn is with something fun, which I don't consider playing scales for hours. There are countless songs or parts of songs that contain excellent exercises for alternate picking, string skipping, sweep picking or just simple rhythm patterns in all grades of difficulties from easy ACDC songs up to the Nevermore, Malmsteen kind of stuff. So best way to practice is to find something that you can play for hours while still having fun at it.
@Asphyx123 YEah im trying to develop my speed right now, and im at about the level of "the sentinel" by priest. Im struggling a little with that so is there anything you could suggest for my skill level?

@MetfreakronoldJHJHJH yes, it's the red version. My only 6-string without tremolo, which is pretty nice and lets me switch tunings faster.
