Homosexual activists understand the power of words.
Please visit my channel to watch a one-minute video clip in which popular atheist author Richard Dawkins admits that homosexual activists "hijacked the word 'gay'".
The word "homosexual" is more appropriate and accurate because it, unlike the word "gay", actually describes the behavior/attraction/relationship being discussed.
The word "gay" helps homosexual activists push their agenda.

i thought this was the 3d paper stencil structures/models.. i mean this is impressive and all and interesting.. but its not as impressive and intriguing as the stuff i had seen before
I think she would have been better received with more humility. The Queen's cape and the way she bows and stands during the clapping was not appropriate.
"art" is nice to look at, but has no real meaning. Like every artist points out "its about the interpretation of the viewer"...meaning that theres nothing about the art that is significant. i hate these people who try to make art seem profound. its not. the people viewing it are profound. this shit is a total waste of time.
@SezSays Do not despise art. We can't measure how important artworks are, in inspiring and making an influence in other, more logical choices of humanity, such as engineering. That said, yes, there are far too many charlatans, and since art is the most subjective concept the human has created, it is a struggle for honest artists to gain any due credit. Your words, like Art itself, is a result of the psyche. Are you saying our intellect is not profound?
@JMartinsATV What I got from your response is "yes what you say is true but I find it personally insulting". If that is your point, then I really don't care that you're insulted by truth. If you have a different point, it really didn't come across. Also, you make a comment about 'art charlatans' and 'true artists'. I don't see the distinction. But maybe thats my 'problem'.
@SezSays Artists are involved in the production of everything you see and use. Your words are typical of one who doesn't understand how art is applied in everyday life.
@crossmirage Your comments are typical of someone who doesn't realize that anyone else could do it just as well if not better. The art itself isn't the issue. Its the continuous praise to the artist thats the issue. The artist holds no value, the art holds some minimal value that cannot be measured and therefore tends to be over-praised. Art in the subway? Any art would do. You dont need to analyze the meaning behind THAT art, because its not any more special than any other art.
@SezSays If "anyone else could do it just as well" then why do I not see more successful Da Vincis, Cezannes or, hell, even Pollocks or Hirsts coming out of art schools everyday? Why do so many people quit art or art school and lament that they "used to draw", if it's as easy as you imply?
You know, you could look at your country's flag and say "any other kind of flag would do". But that doesn't work because it's symbolic of a nation and its identity. Art isn't as pedestrian as you think.
@crossmirage What makes a DaVinci worth anything? The people who claim its worth it are willing to pay that much for it. What makes a flag symbolic? The people who identify with it choose to. But back to art: yes anyone could do it. Why do people leave art? Because theres too many artists for the demand that is out there. Basic economics. Supply is too high, demand is too low. Why do people even bother doing art? Because its easy, its in the eye of the beholder, all you need is luck :)
@SezSays I guess you wouldn't mind graffiti of dicks all over your house then, instead of a Banksy piece or something. Surely there are things you consider beautiful and some you consider ugly? I have a hard time believing aesthetics don't matter at all to someone.
@crossmirage Thats what we call a 'straw-man argument'. Back in reality...not only have I NOT said that, but I've also suggested to the contrary: I have said there is a minimal unmeasurable value in art and that its a good thing that it exists. But I guess that part of my point is unimportant to you. Keep on truckin'.
@SezSays Point taken, I just have a lot of feelings about art, y'know? I read you wrong, and I do apologize. It's just that as someone who likes art, it just really bothers me that it's often undervalued.
Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.

Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have successfuly framed themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.
"Art" is geting a tad bit too rediculous these days, and my prognosis is that it will continue to get even more rediculous over the next years. Everything is "art", so everything, given the right ammout of advertising and what not, can become a trend. This is wrong... if we continue to encourage "artists" more, I won't be surprised if the next "art" is poop. I seriously hope this comes to an end, or at least to create some broders or limitations.
@vesji That is exactly what art is. Art is an essentially contested concept, there will always be a discussion about what art actually is. Never heard about the Dada movement? Showing a urinal on a table and calling it art was a way to force people to redifine what art is and what isn't. That was almost a hundred years ago.
On the Subway I used to stare at one of the pieces they used as an advertisement for an exhibition. Nice to see something about the woman who did it. I must have spent hours of my life looking at that poster.
Skilled artist, but good god was I not interested in hearing her talk. It's like watching a sports newscaster interviewing an athlete. Just keep on making art, but try not to inflict your specific brand of dumb on the world, lady.
@BopZ61191 - Because instead of the usual TED topic, she's talking about herself I think. Most people I've seen bring a topic about a discovery, or a technique, or a description of a general craft, but not an autobiography. I'm not really interested in this lady. Her art is nice, and I'd like to see more of that and her process, but her personal life is not especially fascinating, really.
@ablestmage well, she's kinda showing a relatively less-ventured art form... and also, u can find quite a few learning points from her experiences... like how it's never too late to start doing anything: she was 30 when she picked up any kind of artistry at all and look how good she is at it...
TED is filled with basically anything that people want to share with a large crowd... I believe in this case it's this art form, as well as, tho some might not find it interesting, her personal journey...
@ablestmage - Hearing about her personal journey is why I disliked. Tell me some techniques to promote the form, offer me some process tips, or describe the pieces with better detail. I'm not really concerned with her work history or how she decided to take this up, which is why I give this TED a thumbs down. You asked why people have given it so many dislikes, so I did ^__^;;

Seriously, I did not connect with the adulation Coron received for her paper cutting abilities.
@evolutioner But art many times is some which needs only to show the final result which could be accessed through some other way or in a shorter talk. There are some very interesting processes, but in this case, a 18 minute talk about paper-cutting in which she appears to mainly show her work is not compelling for me.
