@joshshannon i dont remember but i think the sound was coming completely from the metal zone. im pretty sure i just cranked the fuzz. pretty sure i scooped the fuck outta the mids.
@joshshannon couldnt tell ya. try a little less gain. the de mysteriis tone is a little less chainsaw-y than the deathcrush tone. maybe turn up the mids a bit also.
@joshshannon I put the reverb halfway up, the gain at 9 (although you may want it just halfway up, i just prefer extra distortion), the mids and treble at 9, and the bass at 2. These are the settings I use to play the songs that I know off of DMDS ("Funeral Fog", "Life Eternal", and "Freezing Moon").

@joshshannon DMDS was a Digitech Metal Master and an Ibanez Tubescreamer through a Marshall JCM800. Great tone on that album, which is quite suprising considering it was a Digitech pedal.
