The first To Semedo song, for example, is sometimes called ghetto zouk. It's a long story why it got that way, but a shortcut is to say that Angolans invented kizomba and listened to zouk. Slowly, kizomba started to get very similar to zouk

That's zouk. Kizomba is not smt the portugese invented. They smply changed the name.

Kizomba is not invented by portuguese people. the portuguese copied it from the Angolan natives during the colonial times. it was the music the traditional angolans used to entertain themselves using traditional drums. Kizomba is more Angolan than portuguese. its just called portugese because the artists sing it in portuguese language. that doesn,t make them the owner.

@hiphopcrazy123 Angolans COPIED it. Get your info right. Zouk music started originally from the Caribbeans and it has influenced the music in some African countries. Kizomba is not naturally from Angola because that style of music was not derived from Angola. Kizomba is influenced and derived from Zouk and Zouk comes from the Caribbeans. End of story.

Cabo verdianos speak Criolo in most of their songs and Angolanos speak portugues but Its basically the same thing i don't know why your making a big deal saying Angolanos copied it!!

And cape verdians were the first to start making zouk-influenced music in Africa before Angolans. Kizomba, and Cabo-Love all have been copied from Zouk and Kompa music from the Caribbeans.

And anyway Zouk is was created by Caribbean people who spoke creole languages and cabo verdianos speak creole and they are in the losófuno (portuguese community) like Mozambique so you can't say Angola COPIED IT! Zouk is more popular than Kizomba and the Zouk singers make more money than your Angolan kizomba singers. You probably need to leave your little Angola and travel to the rest of Africa, to see how big Zouk music is. KIZOMBA WAS COPIED FROM ZOUK . Even Don kikas and your other singers shall testify to that .

Im portuguese but my dad is angolan and my mom is mozmabiquian! And to be honest with you in Portugal we mix it both we don't have this problem about copying like you do! The names are different because we speak different langs' ... But They are the same thing! But not semba and tarrachinha! Those are ours'

Portuguese people don't really know the difference or backgroaund of these music. You guys just love listening to the music. Tarraxinha is created by Cape Verdians; And Ghetto-Zouk as well is created by Cape Verdians.

We dont care, we mix it all up with latin hip hop semba zouk kizomba and more... we don't care and angolans cape verdians are both very talented!! So at the end of the day Angola is so good at Kizomba that it doesn't matter!!

Please this is Kizomba it came naturally from Angola/Cabo verde' which the language is portuguese the french people were the ones that simply changed the name to "zouk" so i dont know where you heard that this is zouk from :S
