  • You have just got to love Sam's soaring voice on this, reminiscent of the Sam & Dave days and Conway's easy style.

  • conway went to the good place

  • This is the very last song Conway Twitty ever recorded and the last video. He passed away to heaven right after this. He was a legend!

  • Rainy night here in Macon, GA.

  • Wish I could have been a fly on the wall at this recording session. Pure magic!

  • Altough I recorded this song. Conways duet with Sam Moore, and David Ruffins version are my favorites.

  • Love this. There is a CD blues meets country or soul meets country or something. I have it somewhere, a lot of duos but this one is the best. The voices are silk and the music makes you feel like you are there in that rainy night.

  • it surely is a rainy night in georgia today... reminded me of this song

  • uh oh conway's gettin wet

  • Great song, greater man! I wish his fans still had Twitty City to visit and pay their respect. Too bad his third wife, Dee Jenkins, insisted everything be sold to give her 1/3 of the money. May Conway rest in peace. I'm sure God is enjoying that beautiful smile and voice. CT

  • they look like they had ALOT of fun making this video....

  • Conway & Sam...Smooth like moonshine on a rainy night in Oklahoma

  • "RAINING ALL OVER ALL OVER THE WORLD CONWAY TWITTY"

  • check out Conway's THAT'S MY JOB..

  • Sad that Conway died when he did.. He was going to make a new album with Sam Moore called "Brothers".. that undoutably would've sold like crazy.. this song is just a teaser of what it could've been like...

  • Thumbs up if family guy brought you here.

oh, and use adblock plus to teach VEVO a lesson!

  • @Gamerlives thumbs up if no matter what stupid assed pop culture referance brought you here you dig the song

  • I keep coming back to this version time and time again. It just fascinates me.

  • Conway's music is from his heart and speaks to the soul! Conway and Sam do this beutiful Brook Benton song justice. Cathy T.

  • no one..absolutely NO ONE can feel the song like this remarkable man..he was a s

ong's best friend..that is what they say..i feel sorry for those who have not heard this voice..this feeling.

  • omg love this song can help myself let the music 4 people need this rain to fall on them crazy people this is what u call music feeling good now WOW RAIN BABY RAIN

  • I HATE VEVO!!!! STOP MAKING US ENDURE UR IDIOTIC COMMERCIALS BEFORE OUR SONGS!!!!!

  • How is it that 4 people dislike this song?

  • Even though I had heard of Sam & Dave because of Soul Man I never really knew who Sam Moore was until this video and I absolutely fell in love with hearing him sing. His voice actually gives me chills down to my toes. I can not get enough of it.

  • Some r saying who is Sam Moore, or now they r a fan. Sam was part of the group Sam and Dave. Put Sam and Dave in the search and be prepared to hear some great music.

  • This is my favorite version of one of my favorite songs in the whole wide world..Youtube is awesome, creating such a platform to post such video's. The type of videos as well as the crisp clear audio, that we can get with just the click of a button..The New Millinium has been Grand!!

  • The whole CD is awesome!! COUNRTY ROCK & BLUES...if ya find it, buy it. I found it by accident about 15 yrs ago. It has this song and many other duets by country artist and R&B artist. I love it!!

  • @BILINDAEWING

Actually, it's "Rhythm, Country, and Blues," and it's every bit as good as you say it is.

  • Showed respect for each other and the music. Gave homage to Brook Benton who sang the song first. This is how it used to be. What the hell happened to the music.? New talent should learn from the past. But sadly they don' t. That' s why they don' t last long.

  • @starr522 The problem is kids make music today not grown men and women.

  • @DrClawizdead yes, and they are half naked on stage, can u imagine frank, dean, ella, willie, patsy, roy, elvis, aretha, prancing around the stage in their underwear .

  • the world would be as peacefull as this song if is wasnt for city life. no offense to yall who have a city life.

  • Wow, great duet... I never heard of Sam Moore, but I believe he just made another fan.. Of course, Conway is the Man...

  • sam moore you just found a new fan

  • @rusbern sam and dave , hold on im coming ,u know

  • hard to top these two heavyweights, thanks for posting this vid, just awesome

  • This is just simply that amazing :)

  • was workin a extra job in Houston, Tx when I heard the sad news of Conway's passing. Great tallent that is truly missed!

  • Vevo......................................sucks

  • now this is what i call music,, nothing better to just sit back and relax.

  • @HEBisreal

Sam Moore was half of the iconic '60s R&B group "Sam and Dave", with hits like Soul Man, When Somethin' is Wrong With My Baby, I Thank You, Hold On I'm Comin' and many many others.

  • Last song this guy ever recorded, it's great. Oh Brook Benton where ya at son?

  • Let it the night be rainy in Georgia, especially "since it never rains in Southern California."

  • Two iconic voices. What a song.

  • Great version, however Vevo sucks

  • whos sam moore?

  • My wife and I seen him 3 days before he died we were only 21 everybody at the concert asked if we were in the wrong place because we were so young compared to the crowd best concert i've ever seen and i've seen alot

  • I'm a whiet boy logger in IL and I want to go to a juke joint in Georgia right now!

  • Wow, it is hard to believe that Conway was only 60 when he died and that he has been gone for nearly 20 years. This is one of my all-time favorite songs.

  • I miss Conway.

  • beautiful

  • These two iconic singers could have ruled the musical world had conway not leave so soon...This piece of artistry of music only comes around once in life and twice in life you would be Michael Jackson...Bravo you two and RIP Conway...

  • 3 ppl have no sense of music

  • GOD how I hate vevo!!!

  • @ExarKenneth71 Just get Adblock, that'll take care of Vevo for ya. ;-)

  • "Brook Benton, where are ya, son?"

My second-favorite cut from one of my favorite cd's of all time.

More "musical Mt. Rushmore," made all the more poignant because, I think, it was Conway's last session, yes?

Proof positive, once again, as if any further proof were needed, that "soul" has nothing to do with "race."

  • i loved the way sam looks at conway near the end........ironic how it panned out, but a moment of pure joy.

  • pure class....i'm glad its back on youtube

  • Man! Country and Soul Together. How could it EVER Get better than this? R.I.P. Conway I Sure Miss Your Music.

  • @Bubbao751 it can't get any better than this, no-way no-how. just absolutely beautifully done. excellent. Conway is truly missed. 65 number 1 hits, only George Strait has 66# 1's ?

  • Words cannot describe this superb performance. Play this for your friends. These musicians made something very special here.

  • Wonderful... Wonderful....

  • That was just beautiful.

  • This is music to listen to on a rainy night anywhere in the world

  • i come onto youtube. i look up conway twitty. i find this epic song. i click on it. what do i get??? a commercial for mcdonalds. DOWN WITH VEVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love Conway . He is my 1 singer in the world.

  • This version is awesome. I have hit replay several time, listen to it over and over just awesome. I also like the Randy Crawford version of this song, she puts a very nice female spin on this classic song check it out sometimes

  • I see a need between the two. I see Sam in the need to offer support and and I see Conway in the need of the support that Sam can honor. I hope I can honor another likewise.

  • i believe this is conways last song. rip conway and sam. godbless everybody.

  • Just WOW!!

  • Missing Conway...just listening to this makes me sad...He could use that God given talent so well to convey a mood. Sam has always been able to make the mood...thanks for posting!

  • Sitting here in Atlanta listening to this beautifully rendered song brings back so many bittersweet memories of growing up in my beloved Georgia. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, so I've already set the mood...

  • As good as the original by Brook Benton.

  • nice

  • Love this! No matter how you look at it, or think of it

It all comes out the same...:)

  • Absolutely beautiful! The so called artists of today should all be ashame to think of themselves as having talant.

This is just food for the soul!

  • @crimsonrod so very touching how they smile and laugh together i love this video makes me smile and be happy..awesome two thumbs up

  • @crimsonrod this video makes me smile and be happy.

  • conway where are u

  • @crimsonrod Nobody has been missed more

  • @crimsonrod so right, so beautiful to listen to these talented people , luckily we have memories on cd's and videos, of the truly great performers

  • @crimsonrod think that is kind of harsh... there are some pretty incredible artists out there today too- just like back in the 60s and 70s you have a few that are beyond description, a few that are great, a few that are pretty dang good and a few that just stink up the place....

  • 2 of the best bar none

  • this song and video brought together two of the greatest and we are so lucky to be able to enjoy this over and over. The best version of this song ever.

  • @jrrmercer I agree. This song can't be done better!! Conway and Sam is doing a great job, but so is the band!

  • FUCK U VEVO!

  • RIP

  • It was an cd called rhythm country and blues filled with some wonderful duets!!!! An excellent CDcan find it on amazon. Have been listening to it for yrs.

  • VEVO SUX!!!

  • Why does this video say 1994 but Conway died June 5 1993...

  • @cuongoff it didn't come out till after his death not sure if was that long though

  • 2 excelent people, whit gold heart.

  • why is'nt conway siging this

  • ENOUGH W THE STUPID COMMERCIALS

  • I THOUGHT THE COMMENTS WERE CENSORED BUT I GUESS I WAS WRONG...SOME PEOPLE TALK TRASH ABOUT PEOPLE WHO ARE HONORING THE OLDER SINGERS, THAT IS HOW A SONG/SINGERS ARE NOT FORGOTTEN...THINK ABOUT IT........CONWAY AND SAM ARE HONORING BROOK BENTON.

  • @TheANN1958 I can' t beleive you could understand what muffinbutt 1965 was even saying. Some people are just dumb asses. Don' t let it upset you. Us true hearts know the difference. Don' t we?

  • @starr522 Yes we do! Thanks!!;)

  • Fantastic recording

  • i just love the way this was recorded with mutual respect for eachother. You can see it in their eyes and hear it in their voices. When they recorded this they were 2 lovely human beings captured in a moment, but for all time.

  • True story. Stray kitten showed up at our house cold, hungry on a cold rainy night on November 2, 2010. We gave her food, a towel to sleep on, etc., shelter under the rain. It took about 10 days for her to trust us and let us pick her up. Today, she went to the vet. Vet asks her name and I was caught off guard. I didn't have a name for her. But she's female and sweet. I thought as fast as I could and came up with "Georgia". I think the name is gonna stick.

  • This is an awesome song. It make you sit down and just shake your head and think. I love Conway and Sam , they took this song to another level, I can't just listen to it one time I have to play at least two times. God bless Conway , and Sam for doing a FANTASTIC job. R.I.P. Conway

  • Great version of a great song, lets hear it for the writer, the often overlooked Tony Joe White.

  • @missededge Along with "Polk Salad Annie"

  • there are no others that could do this song the way those two performed it.. We Miss you Conway... still love you and your music

  • i love this song . Every time it rains i turn the lights down low and turn this song on . I love the way conways voice sounds and with sam it makes it even better.

  • To watch Conway laughing and being so happy is the best. I have loved him for a long time. I love this video, thank so much for posting it.

  • still hits home this one.

  • LEGEND

  • I could use a distraction right now... Ladies and gentlemen, mister Conway Twitty.

  • conway look so happy, it`s so sad that he was taken away from us far too son .R.I.P. MR.TWITTY.

  • CONWAY YOU WERE THE BEST AND I MISS YOUR SONGS AND YOU..REST IN PEACE.

  • CONWAYYYYYYYYYYYYY..........
