i was a little skeptical at first but i think i'll give this movie a chance. i'm pretty scared for its success tho because: 1) When i first saw the pictures of the characters, i laughed because not a lot of them really resemble the characters in the anime at all. 2) It's based off the King Picollo Saga way back in Dragonball. How many of you remember watching that saga when you were a kid? The anime didnt get popular in north america until the Frieza saga. I'm gonna give it a chance tho.

well, even tho the movie looks pretty retarded right now due to the fact of an irreminiscent plot and no resemblance between actors and anime characters, we can hope that they will redeem themselves with EPIC fight scenes. 87Eleven is doing stunts (who worked on the Matrix), Stephen Chow is the producer (he directed and starred in KungFuHustle), and James Wong is the director (he wrote, produced, and directed The One). It's a pretty creative team, so imagine how the fight scenes could turn out.

I think they replaced him with those two generic bald referees...kind of like how they replaced Piccolo's demon assassins with generic fullum assassins. They really like going the generic route it seems, no imagination I guess. But that's nothing unexpected coming from James Wong and all.
