I guess this is what happens when you try and save a buck. I don't even care if this thing sounds amazing or not at this point. No company that sends out crap like this deserves my money. Wow. Im REALLY surprised. Geoff Daking has been nothing but helpful and accomodating to me and every other audio professional that I know that uses his gear. And yes, this gear does sound amazing.
Ha! I just opened my long awaited Daking MicPre IV to find the most disrespectful pile of garbage from a so called professional company, I have ever seen in my life.
For starters, no actual proper box, NO MANUAL AT ALL!!!, tiny little scuff marks on the metal, a lose metal bottom where the screws aren't screwed in properly, and to top it off one of the mic pres "line" buttons doesn't pop back out when pressed- so now it's permanently stuck on the in position. I am absolutely irate right now!
You obviously didn't try to discuss the problem with Daking. No question they would have taken care of your problem.
