I'll tell ya about my blockbuster experience... I wanted to use my free trial to rent a game and the game never came in the mail (after a week and a half) and I cancelled and so they billed me for the game I NEVER RECEIVED.
block may cost more (like 2$) but for 14$ i get two Blue rays (free netflix charges for blueray) and i can get games for the psp ps3 wii & xbox once more free netflix at the time dose not. and i love that i can change the blue ray at any blockbuster store for fee and not have to wait up till 5 days for a movie not streaming at the time. the only thing i like netflix more than block is the use nettflix has apps on my ps3 3DS Tabs and iphone so nomater where i go i can watch but block dose not
i recently cancelled Netflix by mail service, but have kept the streaming section. I have gone over to blockbuster for rentals by mail. The reason, Netflix appears to have stopped carrying many of the new Criterion releases. Why, I have not got an answer yet.
netflix keeps jacking its prices up. Effective september 1st the unlimited streaming and unlimited dvd's will go into 2 separate plans. I will be paying almost $18 a month and thats just getting 1 dvd out at a time ($2 extra for the blu ray) and unlimited streaming. Block buster is like 11.99 for 1 dvd or blu ray, video games, and streaming, and I can drop the movie off at the store. I might be switching.
@TheDrumming12 blockbuster lost for a reason :p too expensive when compaired to both net flick for moves and gamefly for games, and gamefly doesn't have a small section of games to try to get their hands on gamers money :D.
The odds are against Blockbuster and it's obvious that people are going to Netflix... But the fact that NCR(The inventors of the ATM machine and more) and legacy cable companies such as Comcast partnering with Blockbuster is pretty much like a governmental restructuring and soon enough it will overthrow all other DVD and digital movie companies... All I have to say is, do you remember what happened to WAMU bank? Where is it now? I would just buy up BB stocks while it's still pennies worth...
I am subscribe to both Netflix and Block Buster Online. Both website mostly work about the same, maybe little bit different but not much. I don't like downloading movies because they don't give you the option of watching it in 5.1 or 6.1 surround sound. I only download TV shows from Netflix that only come in 2.0 surround and it is still the same option as watching it on DVD.
I've done mom and pop, Blockbuster and Hollywood. Now my sister's 1st real job/Hollywood is closing.
Nothing's perfect but there's something to be said for being random or people actually GETTING OFF THEIR ASSES.lol I've yet to see anything of substance (classic-indie) featured in Red Box etc. So..
