Engine sound is terrible, for a game that is supposed to be a simulator of the real cars in every way possible, engine sounds have nothing to do with the real ones! :P
It almost sounds like the 1st GT, which sounded great back then, but by nowadays's standards sounds really cheap, NFS Shift has more decent sounds!!
Need for Speed Shift was an awful racing game, I was very disappointed with that game. GT5 looks like it will disappoint as well. Forza 4 looks and sounds much better with a better selection of cars. GT5 has to many old, slow cars in it.

Horrible sound(i should say noise bzzzzzzzzz), Giant hud must be shown because the dash is so low resolution you can't see anything on it (realistic? NOT), shadows are too strong and ugly and anti aliasing is not working.
Why are people comparing GT5 to Forza 4 and GT6 to Forza 3? I mean, come on. Nobody had played either of them, and it also isn't an argument. GT8129 will own Forza 2!

GT5 may not have the best car sounds, but this Zonda R is pretty close to the real thing, I have a Zonda video at Nurburgring and the sound is pretty similiar, still, needs A LOT work, real one sounds 11x times harder.

There's your rattling. Squeaking is from panel-joints being slightly bent upon high G-forces from cornering at fast speeds. @omfgwtfbbq90 - Exactly ! Thats why right now, I like Shift 2 unleashed. The sound is exactly the same as how you see real life vids, with so many touches. The driver and car vibrations and adrenaline is so realistic too, as are the braking points . Its a pity the cars are a bit too floaty in Shift 2.
Creators of GT and Forza need to put some adrenaline and power into their games, not simply for fun, but because IT IS REALISTIC ! you will see that in any onboard racing cam video you see

Wow I just came from a video of Zonda R doing lap on Nürburgring and now i can hear that the sound in this game sucks ass ! In this field Forza is much, much better - still not perfect but ALOT better.

good looking game..excellent cockpit detail..but Forza series is better..the new NFS shift2 is most realistic driving dynamics..playing it now. with Forza, ALL cars have cockpit view...why didn't GT5 do this?..u got cheated, but still a good looking game, pick up NSP shift 2 for a real experience all you young dudes...lol
