  • i got the same thing but with a bigger blade and it had i think better reviews

  • @InLoveWithMinecraft Yea, I agree. I'm not a big fan of small blades but, I do like to toy with cheap products to see what I can do with them. I say, " buy quality when you're depending on it to work but, have fun with cheap gear too.

  • @Ghostkamo YAY i got the Gerber bear grylls folding sheath knife for when i really need it

  • @InLoveWithMinecraft I'm tempted to buy one of Grylls knives to play with. I like Gerber products because they are great for the common person, affordable yet still having a level of quality.

  • @Ghostkamo the one i bought seems really good. and it was only $20

  • Sorry I can't complain about it, damn iPhone

  • @2KARGARAGE My fire rid came out as well, I used some Gorilla glue on it and it's fine now. I luge knife for how cheap it is. Trully I can't complain about u

  • better off with a mora and a BIC lighter for a similar price

  • For around $10, chicago cultery makes a very nice santoku blade that is better than a lot of 20+ cheap "bushcraft and survival" knives. I've used mine to open about 50+ coconuts, chopping, slicing, and prying.. very nice for a low budget knife.

  • the thing about this knife is that it is about 4-5$ on amazon and it comes with a firesteel!! a light my fire firesteel on its own cost about 15$, so i think this knife is well worth the money

  • Thats made with 440 stainless steel, its a pretty crappy knife but as this guys says its an ok spare knife. its light and thats about it. Its actually more a good flint and striker set up lol. your waaaaay better off getting something like the gerber profile for a back up. Great knife. its inexpensive as well.

  • @demover7 Yes, I only use it as a back up fire tool and knife. Personally, I recommend spending a few extra bucks for quality gear but, I do put out some info. on cheap gear for those who don't have the cash and want to cover some of the basics for a few bucks.

  • @Ghostkamo Cant argue with that!

  • i want to get this one or the 10" one. not sure

  • Great vid. I have this knife my fire rod kept coming out of it's holder. And knife poked through sheath. But for the price a good investment.

  • @2KARGARAGE My rod came out also, had to glue it. They must be saving money on glue.

  • hmmm now you got me thinking of a nice home project

  • Thank you for the review, Because of it, I just bought one. (Amazon, $8.50 total for slow delivery, but I paid $11.50 total for expedited shipping...I may have wasted 3 bucks, oh well). After watching a few of your vids, I had to subscribe. Keep up the good work, brother.

  • $3.54 on amazon!!!!!!

  • I almost picked up one at big 5 the other day,I really dont like the sheath ,its just seemed dangerous. But after watching this vid I might reconsider, hell if you put it in a rucksack or even leave one in you,re vehicle the sheath isnt as much of an issue.Im not sure if it was the exact same one as this but it was close.

  • @MrWer1138 You're right about the sheath. I would put an improvised insert in it before wearing it on my side.

  • fine back up and reasonable price, great mod also.

    thanks,+++JC

  • Yes , the knife will poke though the bottom of the sheath. I used and homemade plastic incert to prevent this .decent knife to have in the bag and would not cry if it was broken or lost. thanks for video.

  • great vid !!!......also be great for a spear point

  • Always good to have a backup regardless if it is inexpensive or not. As long as it works, thats all that matters.

  • Nice combo!

I like the slim, flat profile of the whole package.

    Thanks Kamo! :)

  • Nice little back up and good price to!

  • Nice little backup blade, nothing wrong with that.

  • If you are on a tight budget I think full tang is a good plan (I have learned the hard way) however for EDC get a quality US made knife and thank me later

  • Good review!

  • I Love Mine! They were so inexpensive I ended up buying 7 of them, I gave a few away and kept 2 for myself. One thing I did not like was The point protruded the bottom of my sheath, so my solution was to cut a heavy piece of plastic(I Used an Old CVS Rewards Card)To Fit inside the bottom of the sheath. So I took the plastic card cut it to size and folded it in half. Stuffed it into the bottom of the sheath. Now the point doesn't stab my leg when I strap it onto my leg or my arm.

  • @nj4x4fever2 Good tip, it does need some support for the sheath.

  • @nj4x4fever2 good solution dude!!

  • I like the thickness. It would be better than a piece of flint any day ! Would probably make a decent neck knife as it is so flat.

  • I love those cheap functional knives, no reason why a poor man can't put together a good cheapo kit for survival heck you can buy three and issue them to your kids.

    Thanks Kamo keep em comming.

  • sure beats percussion flakes , hafted to a branch. back up are always great

  • I just bought a couple of 20 dollar knives this week end at the flea market. Smith & Weson's. It is always good to have blades you don't mind beating. But I like that after 2 years your coating on that knife is still great. Cool sheath to. Hey have you made any other home made knives other than the vids you already posted?

  • gotta love cheap and functional!

  • looks like that is pretty handy to have, good review

  • cool knife
