I wasn't aware that real vocalists actually do the 'black screech' by inhaling, anyway. I remember when I was a lot younger, and I would sing along to records and just by mistake i found out that you could inhale while vocalizing in the upper register, and make it pitch-perfect...but, you can't get any volume or resonance that way..
