i wish someone would post the original recording of this song by Dave Edmunds & Rockpile. he does it with a faster beat. i think huey wrote it way back and dave recorded it. maybe late 70s?

Huey and the gang were huge celebs at the 1985 PGA Championship at Cherry Hills CC in CO in 1985. In the 18th hole Grandstand, watching golf, signing autographs. I was just a bus-boy, but it was cool to be so close to a band I was, and am still such a huge fan! Bad is Bad.

My sister and mom went to see Joan Jet and the Blackhearts when HL&N opened for them. They loved the News, but JJ was so loud, they left. As they left, so was Huey Lewis & the News, carrying their instruments. SO my mom and sister held the door open for them. LOL... back when they weren't much - having to carry their own instruments and opening for someone else!

Normally, I am somewhat skeptical of remixes (witness Eric Burdon's attempts to remake himself as the rock-n-roll Mel Tormé...puh-leeze!), but this one's a keeper. The harmonies are tighter (more of a doo-wop sound) and the harmonica solo is edgier and more accomplished. A++
