reset your phone.... turn off, then turn on, and when the screen turns white, press call button end button and camera button at the same time, and wait until it turns on... it will reset the software...
well ive stripped an x6, with a service manual, and what i saw was that the parts u were removing were actually no good to put back on the fone, they say to bin it and buy a newone. as thats what happened, it wouldnt fit back together, there was a 5mm gap down each side. i got an x6 protective cover and glue the sides in gently. viola, prefect
icon at the bottom is new firmware released somewhere march 2010. i can actually switches back the icon to the middle side. like the old ver. but the stupid screen still have the same problem... the phone only 1 month old...send for repair twice, now the phone is still in nokia service center

calibrate your touch screen. go to settings/phone/touch inputs and calibrate touch screen. sorry for my bad english but i'm hungaryan
