Good memories of Pens fans in the Igloo. Shame that it's gonna be torn down in 2010. And as a Pens fan I'VE never been to Mellon Arena. The Black and Gold man, until the Boston fans had to bitch about our color change.
I had never been to the arena either until January 08. I drove 18 hours just to see a game and it was everything I could have hoped for. You really should make a trip, its well worth it!
Thanks for the idea. I really WANT to visit Pittsburgh. Still I'm going to cry when Mellon Arena goes away. She's provided some good hockey history for Pittsburgh from Michel Brierre to Mario Lemieux and now to Sidney Crosby. I might do that. GO PENS!!
the Pens may not have been great then but just to see Mario Lemieux and to be at the game with my grandfather it was awesome time in my life Boystown
