@creepilycreepy1 EH, no. EXE is the common filename extension denoting an executable file (a program) in the DOS, OpenVMS, Microsoft Windows, Symbian, and OS/2 operating systems. ...
Isen't it funny that sw doctor scans your pc but you have to buy a licence to remove malware? Sounds like every rouge huh? :P ( just an observation, sw doc is legit) And also, lol at the people that think all .Exe file extentions are viruses, he was saying that most malware is in .exe form
no exe mean its a program and can execute into the memory so if u download a song (music) but its in exe format not mp3 then its a virus for its just hiding so u wouldnt know the difference and will just show a message saying the file is currput ect but it just infected ur computer
That is an uncommon flash virus a virus that is using your open firewall to use a flaw in your operating system maybe harmful try going on google and downloading malwarebytes on safe mode to do this completely turn off your computer turn it on when it says WINDOWS XP WINDOWS VISTA tap f8 repeadetly then boot in safe mode safe mode with networking google download malware bytes install run quick scan turn off your computer turn it back and run m BAM one more time to be on the safe side
windowsvistaiscool- he uses either avira, spyware doctor with antivirus for an antivirus, He also uses malwarebytes, superantispyware...for his clients
Oh and Virus Bulletin also gave statistics that are similar. Where Avira has the best detection rates. By the way GDATA 2008 uses Kaspersky and Avast and 2009 is gonna use Bitdefender and Avast.
By the way I think you should also review a lesser known AV but one is better than most. GDATA AVK. This AV consistently high detection rates on websites like AV-Comparatives. The difference between it and other AV's is that it uses two scanning engines one is Kaspersky's and the others is I believe BitDefenders.
You do know that Avira detects more spyware AND viruses than Spyware doctor with Antivirus. You should recommend the PAID version of AVIRA to your clients. Other than Avira having better detection rates it isn't a system hog like spyware doctor. NO AV or antispyware program hogs system resources like Spyware doctor.
i've done the same think u did whit xpprotector i clicked on run but norton didn't detect anytink so it came a window asking me to accept the licensment (sry for the bad english) anyway i couldn't cancel or get out so i endet it whit task manager
whaen i go to sites for torrents like mininova the i get some advertising for emule witch of course i know it's not the real one
it's just i virus i am no noob when it comes to computer..
then there is another one called web media player so i have norton antivirus 2008 and i have download the exe because i was just curious to see how it blocks it i made a scan to both 2 the exe but he didn't detect anything he also blocked a Infostealer.Gampass
I wouldn't rely so much on Spyware doctor. It's spyware detection is questionable, it makes a lot of false positives, and it's virus protection isn't really reliable. If I were you I would just use Kaspersky 2009 with SUPERAntiSpyware. Anyway that's your choice, your computer, you can do anything you want with it, but I wouldn't recommend your kind of setup to anyone.
Almost every app has false positives. I use it on daily basis when I visit clients and it simply gets the job done for me very quickly...that's why I like it.
-installs in safemode
-updates in safemode
-scans in safemode
-protects in safemode
-scans very very fast
-detects everything (yes, even some false positives)

the bad thing about Pc tools Internet Security/ spyware doctor+ antivirus is
that it relys too much on scanning. When a virus is detected through real time protection, it only gives the option "block" and not delete.
