FSU is the most consistent program of the last 30 years. They have not had a losing season since Bowden's first year in 1976 !!!!! This is something that schools like Florida, Oklahoma, Southern Cal, LSU, and Ohio State who have owned this decade can not claim. I will say one thing though and that is that without FSU having to play Miami every year, Bowden would have at least 5 national titles.

Bobby has said that to be the best you have to beat the best and that's what Miami was.

Miami played Ohio State this weekend at Ohio and Florida State played at OU Florida played at home against an unranked USF team and almost lost. At least both of ours were on the road against top ten opponents (and they say we have weak schedules). Anyways.. looking foward to this years game in Miami.

They were very good teams, but their behavior was simply atrocious. Today we often use the term "thug" to describe those type of players, and the Hurricanes were full of them. And they had a coach (Dennis Erickson) who could have cared less how they behaved.

No in Larry Coker's years Miami's recruiting classes were not very good in 2006-14th 2005-12th 2004-3rd Every year FSU had a better recruiting class except 2004 when Miami was 3rd and FSU was 4th. Randy Shannon has had no talent to work with, and is a recruiting guru. His coaching on the field cannot be judged until he gets his own players in there.
