  • only damm issue is that when I shipped my eagle bad to get it fixed " THEY SHIPPED IT BAD THE SAME BROKEN WAY " So I had to fix the junk gun myslef. I like the gun but magnum reaserch sucks there service bites

  • @micromanish - they are now owned by Khar arms

  • @weaponeer

Yes they really suck. I sent back my gun because it was jamming and fail to feed. they looked at shipped it back brok check my videos really.

  • This is a great vid! "Pussy cat" I held one at the range today. I'll have to shoot it next time to find out what you mean by "pussy cat" I find .45 auto and .357 revolvers to be very easy to handle recoil-wise. Is it really comparable? Most vids make it look tough as nails to make two aimed shots with some speed...

  • Who is this geek? Gimme that damn pistol...

  • @tharealscrapz - Geek? try disabled veteran who owns and shoots all the real weapons that you use when playing your black ops games. Get a job and buy your own pistol!

  • i must buy this gun someday.... my favorite vilian EVER (wesker) uses two of these

  • @nickgt111 Holy shit. Are you serious? Wesker uses THESE things!? I didn't even notice!

  • @grimblackcrows - makes a 30.06 sound like a 223

  • does it have an ejection port?

  • @Awesomealec123 - yes

  • does it have a cocking mechanism?

  • @Awesomealec123 - Yes, a lot like the M16 but super sized

  • plz plz plz tell me. does it have an ejection port in the cocking mechanim?

  • 4:33; thats the last sound you'll ever hear

  • 4:33; thats the last sound youll ever hear

  • its really neccesary the 50 cal. the 44 is too much powerfull too. not so much as the 50 but it kicks and offcours can kills an animal if this gun can be for hunt purposes

  • @kjsh987 - there is no such thing as enough. as technology improves people can handle more and more recoil, so why not. they used calibers larger than this in the 1700's. the 50 AE is for dangerous animals (protection from or hunting) and is more powerful than the 44 Mag, and it's the largest semi-auto in the world. they make more powerful revolvers like the 500 Mag and 460, but not in a semi-auto. if people thought enough was enough we would not have built bigger than a 22 LR

  • @weaponeer I'd like to hear were you get your .50ae ammo. we buy them from speed dot or it was gold dot idk but its really exspensive ammo. I shot a large north american whitetail doe with my uncles titanium gold .50ae and boy did it have knock down power. would like to see a 10 inch 44 mag barrel on it so we dont have to spend a lot on the .50ae ammo, right now we have a regular 6 inch barrel. great gun and my personal faverate.

  • @golfer15963 - I always got it where I could get the best prices. and some times that was direct from mag. research. I plan on getting the ported barrel for my 50 AE, and some time in the future I hope to get the 44 mag conversion

  • Hove you tried to use a scope on it?

  • @Lordofdragons16 - yes, and it worked well, and dampens the recoil.

  • You could probably shoot somebody with that thing and then kill the guy right behind him... Like two birds with one stone...

  • a pussycat!!LOL. yeah right

  • That is badass man

  • @88blockNS - see the slow motion video

  • Lol, good luck hitting anything with it.

  • @88blockNS - actually it's very accurate at long range. the sights are zeroed from the factory at 100 yards.

  • Oh wow, my mistake. And thats a .50ae that your shooting right? I have to go rent one of those, that sounds amazing. Is it picky with ammo?

  • @88blockNS - yes.. 50 AE. it's gas operated so it's not very picky about ammo.

  • It's such a pretty weapon.

  • Wow, one monster pistol that can shoot and kill almost anything. I like it and I'm going to get one for myself when I receive my tax refund check this Spring.

  • With Obama in office you will be lucky to get enough money back to buy the airsoft version, much lett the real one.. lol

  • LMFAO

  • aint that the truth.

  • sick nice video

  • "Its a pussycat" .......Thats great. Nice Vid

  • Would this have any purpose in a real combat situation? It would seem to be unreliable. Is this also true?

  • The pistol is extremely reliable, but.. it's not a combat round. the recoil prevents a quick followup shot, and the pistol is too large for the combat role

  • @weaponeer

Interesting. I would have thought it to be unreliable.

They sure look fun though, am I right? :P

  • never had a problem with the pistol, and it's super reliable due to the gas operation, which also greatly tames the recoil.

It's a lot of fun to shot, and pretty darn accurate (I have only shot it out to 250 yards)

  • @weaponeer

    Sounds pretty nice.

  • Pistol hunting. :D That I'd like to try.....

  • I think this would be good for combat. Just one shot and combat is over :) But you gotta hit the target....:)

  • I heard the desert eagle has the strongest firepower of all pistols... correct?

  • Not of all pistols, just of all semi-auto pistols.

  • Crazy israelis, lmao.

  • Correct for semi autos. IMI OR Magnum Research, whichever you choose makes a revolver called the BFR that chambers a 500 and 700 nitro. Realistically the 50 action express which is what the 50 cal DE shoots has superior ballistic capabilities so splitting an engine block open is cake for the 50 AE cartridge. I own the 50 and 357.

  • A slower burning powerder is often used to make nice big fireballs in .50AE.

  • I know I'm gonna get yelled at but this is a bb gun right?

  • No, this is the real Desert Eagle .50 Caliber Action Express semi-auto pistol.

They do make airsoft pistols that look identical to this.

  • LOL

  • get shot with it and you tell me

  • dude its american

    not israeli

  • dude... it was initially an american design, then redesigned, where it was known as the Eagle 357 and redesigned again in israel, and manufactured (initially) in Israel. Then it was known as the Desert Eagle, and after several more years of enhancements they produced the 44 Mag, as well as other calibers.

The are still enhancing the design and now produce a special muzzle brake that is factory installed on your barrel.

  • Did you not pay attention to what he said in the video?

  • oh ya total pussy cat lol

  • i know right?! "wont jump out of your hands" right...

  • did you see it jump out of my hands? lol

It's really less felt recoil than the 44 Mag due to the gas system. but it has massive muzzle jump, with a slow recoil, and not the sharp snap of most magnums. Considering this is a magnum, it's a real pussycat. fire the 454 and you will see what I mean.

  • haha true true... to someone that knows, expects, and has practice handling recoil, AND having shot weapons with greater recoil, yes, im sure it may be a 'pussycat' for you, but for you average pistol shooter, or anyone that hasn't shot a .50 S&w revolver... it kicks like a bitch! lol

  • i get a lot of flames from .44

  • I need to reload some nice slow burning powder.. that should help it out a bit.. lol

  • Nice video man.

As a fellow owner of a .50 AE Desert Eagle, you will get a massive 3 foot fireball by using 34.5 grains of Hogdon H110 topped with a 300 grain bullet. It's like portable lightning - no joke. Anyway, if you get the chance, try it out one day.

  • I'll give it a try since I have the reloading dies.

  • OH, if you port the barrel (drill holes) it is supposed to cut down on recoil thats what alot of people do but the holes allow the burning powder to be seen that is your flash

  • They have a new factory muzzle break for the 50... they do tend to add a bit more flash, but the controllability is worth it.

  • Ok, you know a lot.. and great video but it is not a pussycat. It is one of the most powerful pistols in the world. Its anything but a pussycat.

  • The recoil is not a big deal at all on the 50 AE. My 357 Mag has a sharper recoil, and the 454's I have fired really let you know you had something. The gas operation on the desert eagle really tames the beast, from a lion to a pussycat.

Now the power (velocity and energy) are another matter! it has some real power to it!

It's about as big as you can get for a semi auto. anything bigger would be too big to hold on to.

  • my favorite part of this video is when he points it at himself.

  • at NO time did I point the weapon at myself or anyone else!

  • why can I not hear you?

  • check your speaker balance

  • it is wierd only you and weapon collector's channel I cannot hear your voice unless i put my volume to full. then the backround noise is loud and your voice is really low... my computer blows :(

  • I have one in my hand as i write this. The owner is hurting for cash and wants $850 w/ 30 rounds of ammo. It's basic blue and has had about 20 rounds through it. IS IT WORTH IT???????

  • I would say buy it...

  • Buy it dude it's a really good deal

  • is the gold version as good as the normal version (i'm talkin .50 AE XIX) as in does it heat up quicker is it less durable less reliable and whatsoever

  • There are two gold versions.. personally I don't feel they are as durable as the normal finish, but they are a durable finish and at $2.00 a round I dont think you will get it hot enough to notice any major heat

  • thanks, i was looking for a large caliber handgun and settled with the taurus raging bull in .223 with a speed loader!

    nice vids

  • I fired the Raging Bull Model 454 (454 Casull) and really liked it.

  • i haven't fired mine yet, however i've fired the .454 casull it was great

  • its pretty badass how you can get it in gold

  • you buy them that way

  • i know. it looks sick especially the tiger stripe haha

  • THIS WEAPON IS CRAZY !!! I´m so hocked right now just by the shooting demo ^_^

  • 2:22 "It's not like it's going to jump out of your hands. It my be a .50 AE, but it's a pussy cat." LOL, love it!

  • a pussycat that kncocks your whole upper body back...

  • how much is?

  • Mine was around $900

  • that is quite cheap! was it brand new?

  • It was used, but unfired... the deal was even better... it came with reloading dies, and ammo...

  • MAy i ask you one thing? What do you do with such a gun except fucking around a little bit at the shooting range. NO OFFENCE there. Just want to know.

  • Hunting big game such as Bear, or target shooting

  • Hunting? O_O Poor animals i guess D: Anyways NICE weight. Definetely nothing for skinny guys ^^ The knock back is errrhm MASSIVE for a handgun. Now my problem is that i live in germany where we are NOT allowed to have such guns even if we have the permission to own guns. Our "rights" are limited... I want it to be like in america... D: BUT only when it comes to guns. Not that i want to kill someone. Just to clear that up ^^ Am just a fan ofthese kinds of guns.

  • that shooting scard the shit outta me

  • This would be much better for me than the crappy M9 when I get issued a sidearms in the Army.

  • I loved the 1911A1, and HATE the M9.. lol

  • Most people feel the same, especially those who are issued it.

  • A hand cannon I thought it was around not even 900 1,000 dollars the gold one is 5,000 also the stainless steel one is I think 3,000 not sure???

  • The black one has an MSRP of $1,563.00

    Brushed Chrome - $1,838.00, Titanium Gold with Tiger Stripes - $2,070.00, Titanium Gold - $2,055.00, 24K Gold - $2,070.00, Brushed Chrome - $1,838.00, Polished Deep Blued w/24K Gold Appointments - $2,112.00

  • reload ur own pistol use a better charge and ull get good fireballs

  • I have all the dies, brass and bullets for the 50 AE, I just didn't have any loading data for some nice slow burning powder.

  • my freind uses winchester 296 i think

  • It looks a little heavy.

  • It's a very heavy pistol.

  • It's heavy compared to most other pistols but i find the weight to my liking it's fitting and boasts the "coolness" of the gun.. And the weight comes from the big sturdy barrel and that the pistol is wellmade so it screams quality! :P

  • The weight is in kg please ^^

  • 1,998.6 g (4.4 lb)

  • Yes so what if an Empty Cartridge hits you, in the eye its not so pleasant. But it wont hurt you. If you seriously think it can hurt you at all you're retarded. A bullet flies at 1000m/s+. A empty cartridge 100m/s-. The shape of the empty cartridge isnt of a form that will pierce your skin, and the speed wont generate enough force to break your skin.

  • i believe you mean fps, m/s, that's pretty pretty damn fast

  • You said that the empty cartridge nails you between the eyes. Can it perice through the skins/bone/flesh the cartrige. Could it kill you or just give you a big big bruse?

  • it will only hit you if you don't hold on tight. I wear a hat and eye protection at the range just in case. I have been hit in the hat by the brass. it's just a tap on the brim to let you know to hold tighter. It will not break the skin or leave a bruise unless you do something really stupid.

  • pussy cat hu?? xD

  • Nice background music ;)

  • Most people love the 50 AE with the standard barrel. The 10 inch barrel is great if you have a scope on it and are using it for silhouette or hunting. most people just use it for simple target shooting and hunting at 100 yards.

  • big gun

  • you make some cool vids..

  • thanks

  • could the flame be caused from humidity or moisture in the powder? I have noticed with mine the older my ammo got the more visible the flame was? I have since started storing my ammo in dry boxes with sillica packets and walla no flame. oh by the way I killed a elk 2 years ago with mine at 196 yds so i'd say its a pretty versitile weapon curtisy of swarofski. You seem to really be knowledgeable about weapons, If the humidity has anything to do with powder burn rate Id be happy to know. Thanx

  • Humidity and temperature can greatly affect the burn rate of some powders. Some powders are known to have drastic velocity changes based on temp.

think of it as a change in air density, more dense air, faster burn rate, less dense, and a slow burn rate (which causes additional flash/flame due to unburned powder).

  • unrelated to flash, but related to humidity, I have done some shooting in very humid conditions directly after a rain shower in high heat, but with an AK47, and was surprised that I could see a vapor trail coming off each round as if it had a badly smoking tracer. it was an interesting effect and didn't last long due to changing conditions, but worth remembering as it was an effect I have only seen in high humidity.

  • "Anti-Flame ammo", awesome. haha

  • lol, hard to explain power burning speeds and how it relates to muzzle flash for non-reloaders, so Anti-Flame summed it up well enough for people to understand in the limited time allowed.

  • being that ridiculously big, heavy, expensive, and heavy, does it have any practical purposes such as self defense/ combat use or is it just for showing off to your mates at the range?

  • all weapons of this class such as the 454, and 500 are all large handguns not very practical for CCW use, and just to powerful (over penetration) for a combat weapon. The pistol was designed for hunting (great for bear), silhouette, or just general long range target shooting.

  • the desert eagle .50AE is anything but a practical weapon. its more like a collectors item. lol

  • It's as practical as the 44 Mag.

  • how does your wrist feel after shooting it with one hand?

  • fine.. The recoil is not a sharp snap like the Magnum revolvers

  • looks like it kicks as much as my cz52

  • It kicks a lot harder than my Cz52 (like three times more) but it's still easy to shoot

  • i want this gun

  • which is more powerful .357 magnum or the DE .50 AE

  • 50 AE...

  • It also It surpasses the .44 Magnum cartridge's power 40-50%.

  • but the .500SW is more powerful than the .50 AE

  • The 500 S&W is more powerful, but it's also a revolver, the 50 AE is a semi-auto and hold more ammo. The 50 AE is the largest semi-atuo in the world, becuase anything bigger and you would not be able to grip it. I have fired the 464 and it stings a bit when you shoot it. The 50AE has less recoil than a 44. In the end the 500 still have more power.

  • The 44Magnum Hammerhead is much better for hunting.

  • It's not available in a semi-auto, and at $4.00 per round it's a bit expensive.

    44 Mag Hammerhead 310grain bullet at 1325-FPS

    50 AE 325grain bullet at 1400-FPS

The 50 AE has better performance, and you can carry a total of 8 rounds rather than 6.

For revolvers the 454 and 500 have even better performance.

  • one more thing i live in the philippines i have seen DE here before but i dont know if they have .50 AE ammo here. i read from a magazine that a .50 AE is custom made for DE and the fact that less people here owns one probably it is hard to buy a .50 AE ammo. Thanks for your help!

  • It's not common ammo here either, only because not many people shoot it, so there is no reason to stock it. I just order it when needed as it's made be several companies in many loadings.

  • HOLLY COW!!!!!!!!!!! The BASS sound of the gun made my heart beat faster. God i want 1!!!!!

  • Just want to ask you for a suggestion im thinking of selling my STI TRUBOR GRANDMASTER so i can buy a DE .50 AE. must i sell it or keep it for my self and save money for a DE? which will take 3 or 4 months.

  • save your money... The STI TRUBOR is a fine pistol, and two pistols are better than one.

  • The misconception of the .50AE is ridiculous. I have fired it several times and the recoil is much milder than a .44 mag. The accuracy was poor but the huge holes in the paper were awesome as well as an obscene amount of percussion from the blast.

  • The gas system is very effective at reducing recoil. I have not have any problem with accuracy, but it could do much better with adjustable sights or a scope.

  • I bought the Baby eagle which only shares the name, a totally different animal. The accuracy of it is great. I am sure with enough ammo through it's big brother I could get better accuracy, but @ $2 per round, it's a little painful on the wallet to shoot, lol

  • I love my baby eagle and shoot that at longer distances than my Desert Eagle.

  • The audio is great. It scared me the first time you shot. I wasn't expecting a sound like that to come out of my little ass computer speakers.

  • my dads friend darrel was a cop he had on of those. he used to carry it off duty lol

  • lol stop at 5:01 and the cartrige barly misses him

  • The 50 AE always just misses you. If you shoot two handed the Cart. gets even closer, and most people end up getting hit with the cart.

  • "It maybe a .50 AE, but its a pussycat"

  • dis guy knows his guns

  • lol

  • is it true when you see a flame the slug isnt at its highest fps potential? its wasted powder

  • It's true that the flames are unburned powder. But, it does not mean that it's wasted energy on the bullet. The slower burning the powder the more flame you see, but.. with some loadings the best load is the one using slower burning powder. The trade off is more flash and flame. it's a catch 22.. at night you don't want any flash, but you also don't need much range, during the day the flash is not as much of an issue, but you can gain range and energy.

  • iv seen the ones on MRs webpage but they only have one set. iv seen a set of grips that had the eagle on it but i dont belive they are on MRs page???

  • Personally I would go with the rubber finger grooved grips to help control the torque during recoil

  • great video would you happen to know were i can get a decent pair of wooden grips?

  • Direct from Magnum Research, Inc.

  • Comment removed

  • i craped my pants

  • I thought I smelled something... lol

  • haha, Awsome vid and gun, thinking on buying one xD

  • That fucking gun ROCKS!!! Hopefully ill be getting mine soon!

  • nice video to bad you have no vlames i dont now whits ammo you are using

i use the ammo magtech or Sellier & Belliot .44 and 75% to 90% gifs a good flame whit mine desert eagle

  • have fun while you can, the dumb ass in the white house will prolly try and take it away

  • keyword.... TRY!

  • The fourth shot looked like you were executing someone.

  • The amount of flame you will see out of the muzzle is dictated by the powder burn rate. Faster burning powder will burn up before the bullet leaves the barrel so no flame. Flame shooting out the barrel means slower burning powder. And while it is a neat visual effect it means that you are actually getting less bang for your buck as some of the energy from burning of the powder is wasted as a light show instead of being converted into gas and pressure in the barrel.

  • I knew that, but the factory ammo has a reputation of a fairly slow burn rate, with the resulting flash. 99% of my shooting I want a fast burn rate and as little flash as possible, but for demos.. the flash is much better for pleasing the crowd. I figured I would load up some nice demo rounds this summer as I have the loading dies, and components just sitting here. Then I'll have better demo/video ammo, and not need to use the good stuff

  • cool video! Your neighbours must love you haha

  • you think they are brave enough to complain? lol...
